2023: Automation of two warehouses
On May 15, 2023, Consid announced the implementation of an integrated solution based on the Consid.WMS warehouse management system at the 17,000 sq.m. distribution center of the TD Anix retail chain. During May 2023, Consid automated the first two of the six Anix TD warehouses located in the Altai Territory using Consid.WMS.
Previously, warehouses used two different WMS systems, each of which solved only part of the logistics problems. With the necessary phased control, only part of the warehouse processes was automated, and the absence of completed end-to-end processes did not allow you to receive complete information on the movement of goods - from putaway to its shipment.
The Consid team conducted an express audit of warehouses to identify operational shortcomings and form a customized set of requirements for the functionality and configuration of Consid.WMS.
Within the framework of the project, algorithms for processing goods were developed for each of the warehouses, which allow optimal use of the address space, reduce the time for collecting orders and minimize costs. The system provides work with both a unit product with a fixed weight (grocery area) and a weight product (frozen and fruit and vegetable areas), as well as with labeled products.
A separate stage of the project was the integration of Consid.WMS with the corporate information system. Operations with products to be marked are carried out in full compliance with the requirements of the law.
At the first stage of the system launch, a team of key Consid.WMS users from the customer was trained, which identified and helped to work out any tasks, and improvements and changes in the functionality of individual operations were carried out online. This made it possible to launch warehouses as soon as possible. At the next stage, line personnel were trained - WMS operators and administrators who work on PCs, warehouse employees who work with the system through data collection terminals based on Windows and Android operating systems. This allowed the customer, on the one hand, to maintain the existing fleet of equipment, on the other, to develop it by expansion.
In the near future, the Consid team will automate the remaining four warehouses of the Anix TD, as well as the distribution center in Biysk, where, in addition to working with similar commodity groups, there are tasks of organizing cross-docking operations both with goods and with ready-made orders.
