2023: Building an IT Infrastructure

OBIT specialists created an IT infrastructure from scratch for the Russian division of TGE Gas Ingineering GmbH after separating from the global holding.

The IT solutions operator team built a new IT infrastructure for the client, migrated from a foreign cloud platform to a Russian service, launched all the programs and tools necessary for the functioning of the business.

The task of localization was faced by the Russian division of TGE Gas Ingineering GmbH in 2022, when the leadership of the global holding decided to leave the Russian Federation. The company needed to launch an independent business under the GA GAZ Engineering brand as soon as possible and as seamlessly as possible, including rebuilding all IT processes, as well as its own IT infrastructure. The task was complicated by the fact that until 2022 the company did not have its own IT service - all the necessary technical support was provided by the head office in Germany.

It was important for us to maintain the standards of quality and reliability of IT services adopted until 2022, so we approached the search for a provider with great care, "said Sergey Ladukas, head of the administrative and economic department of GE GAZ Engineering. - OBIT met our criteria, and also offered us an SLA, which guarantees their implementation in the future.

As a result, in a few months, GE GAZ Engineering completed localization in Russia, restarting its business on a new IT infrastructure, including local and cloud capacities. In addition to designing and building IT and network architecture, OBIT specialists deployed and configured corporate IT services, including remote workplaces. As of August 2023, OBIT is servicing the built-up IT infrastructure, technical support for users, and is also implementing a phased program for switching to independent import solutions.

Despite our experience, this project has become a challenge both for our partner, GA GAZ Engineering, and for OBIT - we faced the task as quickly and safely as possible, preventing the client from stopping business processes, providing him with a full-fledged technological base to continue work at the habitually high level of quality and breadth of opportunities, - said Mikhail Telegin, Deputy General Director of OBIT.
