2023: Secretary service launch

The MTS ecosystem on September 6, 2023 announced the launch of the Secretary service - an AI assistant who receives a call if the subscriber is busy, does not want to talk or is unavailable. At the end of the conversation, the service decrypts and sends the text and audio recording of the dialogue to the subscriber via SMS or Telegram, determining whether this is spam or a potentially useful call. In addition, the message contains a clarification of who exactly called: delivery service, colleague, relative or administrator about recording somewhere.

The "secretary" understands the words of the interlocutor and decrypts the dialogues thanks to the Audiogram AI platform created by the MTS AI subsidiary. The platform is used to translate audio into text and voice bot responses in a chosen voice, allowing the "Secretary" to talk in nine different voices, such as a brash masculine or wise feminine. MTS AI has also integrated antimat and denormalizer functions that mask obscene words and expressions with special symbols.

The "secretary" recognizes the person's speech and defines the topic of the call by keywords. He replies to loved ones: "It's always nice when a relative calls." In addition, the bot can say: "It seems that you are a colleague," if he realizes that someone is from work on that end of the tube. The "secretary" is set up in such a way that he can communicate with spammers, ironic over them.

MTS AI specialists are constantly working on improving speech synthesis and recognition technologies, improving the scenarios for communication between the "Secretary" and subscribers. They also configure and optimize the JAICP platform. In the future, ML services will be introduced into the service, which, in combination with the rules, will better solve problems of understanding users and categorizing calls. We plan to add new voices and management capabilities of the "Secretary" in order to make it more customized, - said Product Director Andrei Biychuk.

As of to data August 2023, the Secretary is able to support more than 100 dialogue scenarios and use the so-called "revolver" of phrases - a set of jokes and frivolous questions that make communication more pleasant.

The service is offered for free with two basic voices to choose from: male or female. There are also nine characters to choose from with a cheerful, cheeky, business mood - at the first connection for 14 days for free, then from rub 110/month. The connection is available to all MTS subscribers using the Telegram bot with advanced functionality @ personal_secbot, application My MTS in or in the Personal Account.
