The Buryat State Agricultural Academy named after V.R. Filippov began work on the planetary scanning complex ElarSkan A2-400R - with the help of domestic equipment, the most valuable publications of the university library will be digitized. This was announced on September 6, 2023 by Elar.

The Buryat state agricultural Academy named after V.R. Filippova - University of Buryatia, founded in 1931. This is a multidisciplinary university with personnel, scientifically innovation educational and potential.

At ElarSkan A2-400R, it is planned to digitize publications from the rare and valuable book fund (3600 copies), digitize photographs and documents from the academy museums for the Digital Museum Complex project (1500 units), create digital doubles of herbarium sheets for the Digital Herbarium of Medicinal Plants project, - said Evgenia Sergeevna Vershinina, director of the Scientific Library of the Buryat State Agricultural Academy.

Among the most valuable publications that will be digitized with the help of ElarSkan, for example, the book by Karl Gertwig, professor at the Berlin Veterinary Institute, "On insects of ticks appearing in the skin, in the scabies of human and bark of pets...," published in St. Petersburg at the printing house of L. Busse in 1853, as well as the works and graduation photo albums of faculties from the foundation of the university (1931).
