The Softline company completed an implementation project of a system of an audiovideo conferencing for Tele2 Russia company.
Essence
Based on Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 the company Softline performed an implementation project of a system of an audiovideo conferencing for the company Tele2 Russia. During the project a system was integrated with telephone exchange Avaya.
Justification
For increase in efficiency of communications between the staff of the company from different regions the decision on system implementation which would allow to increase communication quality, to reduce the cost of conference calls and to reduce time for the organization and carrying out audio/video and web conferences with participation of representatives of all regions was made.
Product Selection
The customer made the decision on system implementation based on Office Communications Server 2007 R2 allowing to optimize interaction between employees both in one office and between the geographically distributed companies.
In the project
In the project progress specialists of Softline implemented Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 in DPC of the company in Rostov-on-Don and made necessary setup for ensuring support of conferences with participants within the organization and users outside corporate network.
Integration with the digital station Avaya under the SIP protocol is carried out, in all representative offices client places are organized Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 R2 and Live Meeting.
Users had an opportunity to select an optimal variant of communication with colleagues – instant messages, audio/video or web conferences, irrespective of location of the subscriber. An opportunity was in addition implemented, inviting the necessary number of participants, to hold several conferences at the same time and to manage them – a priority speaking, cameras, microphones; show the presentations and work materials during the seminars and write them for further work. The organizer plans actions via the web portal, specifying a necessary format, making the participant list then users receive the invitation with the link and the code for registration.
For a connectivity to a conference through the PSTN (public telephone network) the Dial IN Conferencing function was implemented. Thanks to this function the user, having entered the code, it can be connected to it from any phone.
Economy factor
In addition to efficiency of expenditure of working time of employees and reduction of traveling expenses, the implemented solution represents the single system of communication available from Microsoft applications reducing expenses on support of separate communications systems of the company that, in turn, simplifies management and reduces total ownership cost.
