Andrey Klenin graduated on specialties "Applied Mathematics" and "Industrial Management". In 2009 gained the diploma of MVA in New York and London.

Biography

Worked as the manager in the large companies - RAO UES, "Solar products", networks of supermarkets Paterson, MTS. Held a post of the operating officer in Ulmart.

2015: Appointment of Wikimart as the head

In May, 2015 it is appointed the CEO of online retailer Wikimart.

2020: Probation for waste of 124 million rubles

On May 7, 2020 it became known of a sentence which the Golovinsky district court of Moscow  pronounced concerning Andrey Klenin. The former CEO of online retailer Wikimart is found guilty of complicity in waste (Part 5 of Article 33 and Part 4 of Article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) of 124 million rubles and received 3.5 years conditionally.

According to Kommersant, the investigation and court were established that in the summer of 2016 Andrey Klenin who at that time headed Wikimart instructed the subordinates to address to Aymanibank for a design of the credit of 130 million rubles for replenishment of current assets. In spite of the fact that the head of bank Igor Volchikhin "authentically knew" that Wikimart will not be able to return money, the credit in the amount of 124 million rubles nevertheless was issued. 

Volchikhin (in 2018 the court sentenced him to four and a half years conditionally) and one of co-owners of Aymanibank Anatoly Goncharov (by May, 2020 is in the international wanted list) at discretion disposed of these means.

The investigation asked to sentence the imprisonment accused by seven years. However the judge considered that correction of the businessman is possible without isolation from society, the newspaper notes.

We are dissatisfied with this solution and  we will dispute of course it in higher instances  — the lawyer Klenina Lyubov Sergeyeva told RBC.

According to other defender of the former head of Wikimart Vladimir Gagloyev, Klenin's guilt in court is not proved, and the only argument of the investigation financial and economic examination by court is recognized by the inadmissible proof. Protection filed a short complaint to a sentence.

Andrey Klenin  was arrested  in August, 2018. According to the petition of the investigation the court placed it in the pre-trial detention center, and at the end of 2019 translated under house arrest. It is noted that for participation court sessions Klenin had to issue digital the admission because of the restrictions introduced in Moscow.^[1]
