2023: Product Announcement

In mid-March 2023, Mujin announced the TruckBot robotic system designed to unload trucks and shipping containers. The complex significantly increases the efficiency of this process, allowing you to unload up to 1000 product boxes from the truck per hour.

Unloading trailers and containers in warehouses can be time-consuming, creating bottlenecks in supply chains. In addition, this exhausting work is often carried out manually, which entails certain risks for the maintenance personnel. The TruckBot platform is designed to solve existing problems by completely automating the process.

TruckBot

The robot design provides for the use of a special boom with a conveyor belt for catching and moving boxes. Boom position is controlled horizontally, vertically and in flight. The TruckBot is capable of advancing 15 meters inside a truck or sea container, and the maximum weight of captured boxes exceeds 20 kg. After moving along the belt, loads fall on a standard conveyor, which allows them to be sent for storage, sorting, etc.

The robot uses MujinController technology - a modern system that allows it to work completely autonomously, planning the most effective scheme of actions. This minimizes downtime and maximizes performance. The TruckBot can be operated in tandem with the Mujin stacker robot to move boxes onto storage pallets. These pallets, in turn, can be transported by autonomous transport robots.

MujinController software makes TruckBot really special. The software allows the robot to function independently, without the need for manual intervention or control, as well as making reasonable decisions, says Ross Diankov, CEO of Mujin.[1]
