"The tractor plants concern and M2M Telematics group implemented the Russia's first project on serial equipping of the agricultural and industrial machinery GLONASS equipment. Within the project all special equipment of concern will roll off the production line already with the exchange service stations M2M-Cyber GLX, and producers and potential customers of machines will receive the complex tool for increase in effective management of vehicle fleets and qualities of operation of special equipment in general.
The Equipment Monitoring System (EMS) based on GLONASS developed by specialists of M2M Telematics Group is the unified technology platform for creation of the unified information system connecting owners of special equipment, producers of machines and customer services. This information system will give an opportunity to trace not only location of each tractor, engine hours acquired by it and also observance of route tasks and fuel consumption, but also operating conditions of machines that, in turn, will allow to increase significantly efficiency and quality of work of customer services, and finally, will increase equipment service life.
The automated navigation and information system of monitoring and management is expected a broad spectrum of the enterprises: here and agro-industrial complex, forest industry and logging, mining industry, road-building industry and many other things. Broad functionality of SMT allows the enterprises to raise not only labor productivity, but also to completely control observance of production requirements when working, to reduce costs on fuel and lubricants, to control drainings of fuel and unauthorized use of the equipment. A system includes powerful instruments of monitoring, management, control and job analysis of the equipment.
According to the assistant department head on development of commercial products of M2M Telematics Group of Alyona Petrova, "SMT – the first system which is implemented directly on production and it means that the sphere of its application significantly extends both for the producer, and for the owner. The real data provided by a system to the user allow to carry out the analysis of the machine and tractor park – on accounting of an operating time in engine hours, to amount of works depending on their type and replaceable development, the processed area and many other things.
Accounting of development of tractors is necessary for assessment of level of use of all tractor park and separate tractors, for requirements planning in tractors, reserve maintenance periods, fuel consumption, monetary costs for technical leaving and repair of machines, for determination of operating costs per unit of tractor works and other technical and economic indicators of work of the machine and tractor park. I consider that a system will allow the owner to use the equipment more rationally and effectively".
