The purpose of the visit to the production site in the city of Vladimir was to familiarize themselves with the current state of production and hold a working meeting with representatives of the plant.
"VMTZ is in extremely serious condition: due to debts, production has been stopped, there is an ineffective use of space for a long time, the company has about 400 employees, while production is extremely low. The property complex of the enterprise belongs to another legal entity against which the bankruptcy procedure has been introduced. There were cases of blocking the enterprise, while employees could not get to workplaces. The total amount of accounts payable as of September 30, 2017 amounted to about 800 million rubles. In the near future, Rostec will propose concrete steps to optimize production and preserve jobs, "said Sergey Abramov, industrial director of the armament cluster of Rostec State Corporation.
