In September 2023, the Cybersklad company presented its new solution for automating warehouse operations - a storage robot. 20 million rubles were invested in this project.
The robot is equipped with computer vision and sensors similar to those used in robotic vacuum cleaners. These functions allow you to avoid collisions with moving objects and people. If an obstacle occurs in the path of the robot, it is able to analyze the situation, make a decision on the need to detour or wait. The robot is also free to move next to other robots without risk of damage thanks to its computer vision, which builds a 3D map of the environment.
The maximum carrying capacity of one robot is up to 100 kg, which allows it to transport pallets, boxes, finished products, etc. According to the developers, special attention is paid to a specialized autonomous robot control system. The customer selects a specific room in which the robot will operate, after which the Cybersklad specialists digitize the territory and train the robot in the optimal routes of movement inside the specified perimeter. Some production facilities already have special routes for warehouse transport, and it is on the basis of these routes that the optimal path for a robot storekeeper is built.
It is noted that one of the key functions of the storage robot is transportation. Special accessories (racks) are created for each production, which can vary depending on the needs of a particular production. The robot is designed for in-warehouse and production logistics. At the moment, it is focused on light industry, in particular, on sewing-related industries.
The pilot introduction of the robot has been agreed and is already being carried out at the Istok Prom enterprise, a production enterprise for sewing corporate clothing and personal protective equipment. The robot will be introduced at the new warehouse workshop "Istok Prom" in the city of Ivanovo, which is 1500 sq. m. The device is programmed to perform the tasks of transporting fabric rolls, cutting and blanks.
