"Electrical board - Ko" produces measuring transformers of current, voltage and cast electrical products. The company's products replace foreign counterparts. As part of the completed phase, the working group mapped the workflow and visualized it as a detailed diagram showing problem areas and showing bottlenecks in the flow. A detailed information section was prepared with the digitization of the impact of the identified problems on the production process and the cost of production.

As of December 2023, it was possible:

  • carry out sorting of components at workplaces and upgrade their storage system, which led to a decrease in search time;
  • technically modify individual equipment elements to reduce the time of operations and to reduce the level of deviations;
  • refuse to perform excessive technological operations, which led to a decrease in the cost of production;
  • optimize the delivery of blanks to workplaces.

In total, the Electroshchit-Ko team will have to implement about 170 improving measures in order to create an exemplary production stream. Achieving this goal will now be easier, since during the project, 2 lean production coaches were selected and trained from among the employees of the enterprise.

The plant team initially got off to a good start. After the preliminary training stage and the "Process Factory," the working group moved on to analyzing the processes on the current transformer production stream. Despite the short period since the start of the project, considerable work has been done. A map of the current state has already been compiled and more than 100 losses in the production process have been identified, which significantly reduce the flow performance, "said Maxim Davydov, a specialist at the RCC and the project curator.

Now the working group has to develop solutions that will eliminate losses and make the process more efficient.

Start of the "Diagnostics and Planning" phase of workflows

The manufacturer of measuring current, voltage transformers and cast electrical products Elektroshchit-K (Babynino, Kaluga Region) continues to introduce lean technologies at its production site. As of October 2023, the plant's team, together with experts from the Regional Competence Center (RCC), moved to the Diagnostics and Planning stage. This was announced on October 3, 2023 by the Business Development Agency.

Employees of the enterprise have already passed the first stage of basic training, lean production consisting of 5 blocks. This allowed them to undergo training at the Process Factory - a training site on the base. KSU named after K.E. Tsiolkovsky On it, participants use lean production tools in practice when assembling a real device - a pressure regulator. gas The enterprise team took a good start and in the unofficial team competition entered the 10th with a score of 206520, virtual rubles taking 7th place. Yesterday, a kick-off meeting on the stage "Diagnostics and Planning" of RCC specialists was held with a working group created at the enterprise. A current transformer production stream was selected for the pilot project.

The purpose of the stage: to diagnose the current state of work processes, identify temporary and financial losses and determine the sources of their replenishment. The result of three months of work of experts and employees of the enterprise will be an action plan to eliminate problems and optimize the workflow, as well as the creation of a reference area.

We hope to achieve the main goal of the project - productivity growth - by changing the way our employees think. Employees undergo training at the process factory

Employees of the plant for the production of measuring current transformers "Electroshchit-K" were trained at the Process Factory. This training platform was created as part of the national project "Labor Productivity." At it, participants study lean production tools and immediately use them in practice when assembling a real device - a gas pressure regulator. The training is carried out by specialists from the Regional Competence Center (RCC), which is the operator of the national project. The center operates on the basis of the Kaluga Region Business Development Agency, which announced this on September 19, 2023.

The Electroshchit-K company recently joined the national project, and its employees immediately began measures to introduce lean production tools. A working group has already been created at the enterprise, specialists are undergoing training. The effect of the first steps to the transformations was not long in coming. According to the results of the training, the team went to virtual earnings of 206,520 thousand rubles, taking seventh place among the enterprises participating in the national project.

The training turned out to be more useful than I imagined. I think that the activities of the national project will help us get an effect that can be measured both in numbers and in achievements. The system of scientific organization of work processes is not new, but in the daily flow, the main solutions for their optimization are relegated to the background. Participation in the Labor Productivity Project
