2023: Implementation of the program to modernize and optimize the efficiency of industrial processes

On October 2, 2023, the Russian production company Systeme Electric, a manufacturer of integrated solutions in the field of electricity distribution and automation, announced that it was continuing to implement a program to modernize and optimize the efficiency of industrial processes at the Potential plant in Kozmodemyansk (Republic of Mari El).

Plant "Potential"

As reported, the expansion of production, repair work and the construction of infrastructure facilities at the enterprise are carried out within the framework of an investment cooperation agreement, which the General Director of System Electric Alexei Kashaev and the Head of the Republic of Mari El Yury Zaytsev signed in 2023. Until 2025, the company invests 1.5 billion rubles in the development of the plant.

The company launched the first laser complex of precision engraving, marking and cutting. Thanks to the updated equipment, the plant is able to fully automate the labeling of parts, optimize productivity and increase the level of labor safety.

In the stamping industry, a solution for unwinding and straightening of metal tape has been introduced. The equipment ensures optimal dimensional accuracy of the manufactured parts, which optimizes the quality of the finished products, and also allows for more efficient use of production areas and makes the work process safer. The commissioning of the centerless grinding machine for launching its own production of taps for the stamping shop, where an automatic turntable is also installed, which allows you to evacuate the finished parts and supply replacement containers without stopping the press, has been completed.

Plant "Potential"

To improve the quality of manufactured products, updates were also aimed at the injection shop - five thermoplastics were installed and put into operation to replace outdated injection machines. An additional possibility of equipment is the presence of robotic manipulators that remove parts and move them to the conveyor for subsequent placement in containers. This process avoids scratches and defects on parts. And in order to completely eliminate the risks of overheating and stopping thermoplastics, an updated cooler has been launched, which forms a circuit for duplicating the mold cooling system at any outside air temperatures.

The process of mixing paints and varnishes has been modernized at the painting and film site. Thanks to the gyroscopic mixer, the process became automatic. The intelligent control system adjusts various mixing parameters - clamp pressure, rotation speed and mixing time, which makes the coating as stable as possible.

In addition, the repair of the technical testing laboratory was completed. The modernization made it possible to optimize working conditions and free up additional areas for equipment. The laboratory carries out input, output and production control of raw materials and finished products in accordance with GOST and Specifications, which allows the Potentia plant to maintain optimizations in the reliability of manufactured electrical installation products.

Earlier in 2023, a 10 kV substation was launched with a complete replacement of outdoor cables from the substation to each building. Its launch not only contributes to more efficient distribution of electricity at the plant, but also creates opportunities for further expansion of production. Also, pumping stations for domestic and fire water supply were put into operation with the laying of a pipeline to all buildings and an auxiliary warehouse was erected. Besides this, the construction of cable-carrying structures for laying power supply, water supply and heating networks was completed, the facades of the main administrative and three production buildings were updated, repairs of office and administrative and household premises, asphalt pavement were implemented, not only the territory of the plant was landscaped, but also the adjacent city.

The work continues in a continuous mode, and by the end of 2023 the enterprise will have a transport workshop with treatment facilities for recycling and saving water, the repair of the facades of the automatic stamping shop and the building of the assembly production will be completed. The modernization and expansion of Potential production creates the need to attract professional personnel, so the company actively supports educational institutions, including through the grant system in order to educate a generation of high-class specialists.
