Multispectral document verification

The solution is designed to help companies that identify their customers by passport protect themselves from scammers. We are talking about banks and other financial organizations, notaries, telecom operators, airlines and airports, etc.

According to the developers, the multispectral document authentication system simultaneously solves two key problems. It instantly extracts data from the passports of citizens of the Russian Federation and other CIS countries, including Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and checks the document for authenticity and validity in three ranges - optical, ultraviolet and infrared. The entire input and verification process of the Smart Engines system takes no more than three seconds, according to Smart Engines.

The software product allows you to identify fakes, dummies of documents and documents with a pasted photo, checking dozens of different authenticity signs - for example, the authenticity of the form, the presence of protective fibers, the correspondence of the fonts used, the correctness of the MRZ machine-readable area, signs of falsification of stamps and seals, and many others.

For documents with a built-in storage medium, automatic data reading and verification is implemented. In addition, the complex includes a proprietary non-biometric face reconciliation technology that allows cross-validation of the bearer's face and photos in the document/chip.

Smart Engines multispectral document authentication works autonomously on the local workstation, does not require a network connection, and does not transfer data to third-party servers or third parties for manual input. It is compatible with a wide range of domestic scanners - for example, with the reader of passport and visa documents PS4-02.

As you know, the number of fraudulent actions related to the use of fake passports of CIS citizens is constantly growing: hundreds of such offenses are committed every month. As explained by the general director of Smart Engines, Ph.D. Vladimir Arlazarov, this is due to the fact that each document has its own features.
