2023: Opening of a complex for the production of nonwoven materials in the Tula region
The Neotex company in the city of Kireevsk, Tula Region, built "from scratch" and launched a complex for the production of non-woven materials consisting of different layers of spunbond and meltblown, produced on the basis of polypropylene fibers. The production volume will be 16 thousand tons per year. This was announced on October 16, 2023 by the Industrial Development Fund (FRP) to Zdrav.Expert.
Total investments in the project exceeded 970 million rubles, of which 705 million rubles were provided by the Federal Industrial Development Fund (FRP) in the form of a preferential loan under the Priority Projects program.
From the very beginning of the project, we were confident that the FRP would support us, and the preferential terms of financing the Fund will help the company launch this production as soon as possible. The plant will supply high-quality nonwoven materials to the Russian market, allow replacing similar imported products on the market and reduce Russia's dependence on macroeconomic conditions in international commodity markets, told the general director of Neotex Nonwoven Fabric Plant LLC Maxim Petelin.

The company will produce nonwoven materials consisting of several layers of spanbond and meltblown, using the fourth generation technology - spunbond technology. These materials are resistant to abrasion and crumpling, have low electrical conductivity, are resistant to rupture, and are resistant to atmospheric and temperature influences. In addition, they have the ability to uniformly and deeply stain.
Nonwoven materials have a number of advantages over other textile products due to low production costs, special improved consumer properties, economical consumption of raw materials and components, ease and compactness of finished products. This spunbond manufacturing technology allows to obtain a canvas of a special structure that follows the pattern of diamond faces, which determines the highest possible properties of the resulting nonwoven webs.
Due to its qualities, nonwoven polypropylene materials are in demand in construction - for preparing the base for roads, waterproofing foundations and roofs, during the improvement of the territory, as heat insulation materials. In addition, they are necessary for the production of industrial and energy equipment, filters for the oil industry, covering material for agriculture, medical and hygienic products.
According to the company, about 40% of the Russian market for nonwoven materials was previously represented by imports. The company intends to occupy about 8% of the domestic market, displacing foreign manufacturers, and enter the top ten largest producers of non-woven materials of the Russian Federation.
Localization of production is 100%, granular polypropylene of domestic production is used as raw materials.
136 jobs were created at the opened enterprise.
