To avoid such problems, Apple offers a different approach. Software is delivered and deployed in software containers, which the company calls "layers." The software in the layer is already deployed, and it contains all the libraries necessary for the application to work. Thanks to this approach, the application is immediately mounted in the file system. Layers with applications can be added to local storage with the ability to distribute them to workstations. Before sending to the workstation, all layers are tested for health by the administrator. This eliminates the possibility of conflicts and failures.

With the introduction of automatic layering, the process of installing applications on workstations is greatly simplified. The administrator can assemble the layer in any operating system where there is. browser At the input, it feeds about, information ON which must be packed into the layer by selecting the appropriate options from the menu. At the output, receives a layer file information with information about its filling and recommendations for creating additional layers, if necessary.
