2023: Card Launch

In October 2023, the environmental project "Earth touches everyone" and the company "Geosemantic" launched a map of recycling points Recyclemap. On it you can find the nearest point for receiving glass, aluminum, plastic and other raw materials. This makes it much easier to pass waste for those who want to start or are already engaged in separate collection.

By October 24, 2023, more than 30 thousand reception points in dozens of cities were mapped. The service also provides:

  • filters by fractions of recyclables;
  • detailed descriptions of items listing all types of accepted recyclables and operating mode;
  • comments on items from users and the date of the last update of information
  • mobile version with the ability to add an application to the menu screen.

On the map, you can add new items, offer corrections and leave comments, find the item nearby using geolocation, as well as build a route to the selected item through Google Maps and Yandex.Maps.

The Recyclemap portal is updated to volunteer moderators; by October 24, 2023, 38 cities have them. The community regularly monitors the reliability of information about recycling points in its cities and updates it on the map, representatives of the Earth Touches Everyone project said.

Earlier in 2023, recycling points from the Recyclemap card appeared in Yandex.Maps. To find a recycling point, you need to enter "Separate waste collection" in the search bar, and Yandex Maps will show verified points throughout Russia. You can also get on the map with marked recycling points using the QR code indicated on the Yandex Market boxes. This will help to properly dispose of packaging and other waste.[1]
