History

2025: Brio Capital Investment Fund buys A3

On October 24, 2025, the Russian investment fund Brio Capital announced the purchase of a controlling stake in the fintech company A3 Payment Service, which is one of the largest Russian developers of IT infrastructure for regular consumer payments.

As part of the transaction, a 100% stake was bought from the previous owner. As a result of the transaction, 80% of the capital is owned by Brio Capital. The remaining 20% was received by the A3 top management team. The share in the company was divided by CEO Andrei Abashin, Commercial Director Alexei Odedesion and Technical Director Ivan Lymar.

The amount of the transaction is not disclosed by the parties. Operational management is retained by the company's management. Representatives of Brio Capital will join the newly formed board of directors. They will help A3 with strategic business development.

A3 provides a digital platform for banks. It allows you to automate the reception of regular payments for housing and communal services. The platform also processes payments for telecommunications services, taxes and other mandatory fees.

The service is used by over 50 largest Russian banks. They serve more than 50 million customers through the A3 platform. This makes the company one of the leading players in the online recurring payments market.

At the end of 2024, transactions through the A3 platform exceeded ₽250 billion. The volume of operations more than doubled compared to 2023. In 2025, the turnover of payments exceeded ₽300 billion. This reflects the steady demand for technology solutions in the recurring payments segment.

According to Brio Capital estimates, the total size of the Russian regular payment market exceeds ₽7 trillion. At the same time, the housing and communal services sector accounts for about ₽4,5 trillion. This is the largest segment of the regular consumer payments market.
