2023: Presentation of the Tricolor Ultra project

"Tricolor" restarts the satellite television industry. On November 1, 2023, the operator presented the Tricolor Ultra project protected from external interference with a record number of TV channels.

"Tricolor Ultra" is a large-scale broadcasting project on Russian satellite "Express-AT1" at 56 degrees. The main component of the project is exceptional safety. Broadcasting from the Russian satellite does not depend on the geopolitical situation and external threats. To maximize signal protection from possible attacks , the operator invested additional funds construction in a new teleport in Siberia.

The situation with external interference required us to make drastic decisions to preserve the quality and level of our product. Express-AT1 is only Russian frequencies, and this gives us additional confidence and stability. Our annual additional costs are hundreds of millions of rubles. We have invested not only in the construction of a teleport, we also have 20 transponders with a capacity of almost 700 MHz. This made it possible to offer Tricolor customers a special channel plan, "said Alexey Lipilin, Deputy General Director for Strategy and Development of Tricolor.

In 2023, together with the technical specialists of Tricolor, we managed to cope with the interference. Express-AT1 is a Russian satellite to which you can raise a signal from different points of the country. For November 2023 in Siberia, we are building satellite stations, installing large antennas. This will be a high-quality TV signal both in terms of technical parameters and media content. Thanks to its safety, manufacturability and special content, the Tricolor Ultra project fully fits into the latest world trends, "said Alexey Volin, General Director of the federal state unitary enterprise Cosmic Communications.

More than 300 channels will be available in the Tricolor Ultra project: over 100 TV channels in Ultra HD and HD formats, more than 100 film channels and more than 100 entertainment channels. The total amount of content in the online cinema "Tricolor Kino and TV" will reach over 100 thousand units. In addition to this content, priority service is also waiting for customers in the new Maximum and Premium subscriptions.
