The Ministry of Internal Affairs (Ministry of Internal Affairs) of Russia received 715 software and hardware systems of cryptographic protection, which were developed by the National Technologies company of the Roselectronics holding. The equipment is necessary to build protection against unauthorized access to department information and prevent accidental data leaks. The press service of Rostec (Roselectronics is part of this state corporation) announced this on November 2, 2023.

It is noted that the equipment supplied by the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be used to build a virtual secure network and ensure secure data transmission between its segments over open communication channels. The hardware and software complexes implement the functions of cryptographic data protection and firewall, and the equipment also provides static routing, load balancing on the computer network and filtering IP traffic.

According to Konstantin Yunov, General Director of National Technologies, the supplied software and hardware complexes have already proven themselves from the best side both in terms of functionality and reliability. The equipment is included in the register of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, its release is carried out on the territory of the Russian Federation, which ensures full control of the production process at all stages and guarantees the equipment has no undocumented capabilities, he said. Yunov also added that the task of ensuring the protection of information and information resources of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia has become especially relevant in the current geopolitical circumstances.

Under the terms of the contract, National Technologies will perform warranty maintenance of the equipment and provide technical support throughout the warranty period.^[1]
