In order to select a film using Explore KION, the user needs to select several pictures that he likes. All films and TV shows that have ever been featured on KION are available for selection - even those that are no longer shown in Russia. After choosing a neural network, starting from the current user preferences, will select a list of relevant pictures that can be viewed on KION. For example, the user would like to watch something similar at the same time to "Twilight" and "Interstellar" - the neural network will advise the fantasy romantic drama "Three Thousand Years of Desires."

The algorithm based on Explore KION consists of two levels - a model for selecting candidates and a ranking model. The candidate selection model selects films and series that the user may like based on what they have chosen. This takes into account not only the genre and keywords or tags of content, but also the fact that people most often watch with a particular picture.

Further, films and series selected at the first level and the history of interactions with cards from the current session fall into the ranking model. The ranking model evaluates the relevance of each candidate based on the distances from that candidate to films and TV shows that the user has added to the selection or, conversely, which he has not paid attention to. As a result, the user is given a set of the most relevant recommendations.

We not only use already proven solutions in the market, but also develop completely new ones. Explore KION is a recommendation system as a guided tool for choosing films.
