Project objective was quality improvement of information support of key business processes of the company, regarding increase in efficiency of their accomplishment and reliability of the received results. During the project tens of integration scenarios integrating 5 corporate applications including a management system for requests for connection and customer service were implemented. Today this unique software solution applied in telekommukatsionny area.
Situation
Due to the scope of the new telecommunication markets in different regions of Russia, in Summa Telecom company there was a need for creation of the single integrated system which would integrate different main business applications of the company in a single network. For this purpose it was required to carry out integration of corporate systems: a billing system, a system financial and financial accounting 1C, storage system of information on the equipment, the website, within accomplishment of end-to-end business processes of the company.
Solution
Specialists of the Center of custom developments developed the system of application integration which provides information transfer between applications of the company within the following business processes:
- Order management of clients (Order Handling)
- Interaction management with the client (Customer Interface Management)
- Management of formation and drawing of accounts (Bill Invoice Management)
- Management of payment of accounts and receivables (Bill Payments & Receivable Management)
- Problem Handling
The project started at the end of December, 2008 and the first stage was completed in April, 2009, software development at the moment continues. Within the project 22 flows of information transfer according to the eTOM standard (enhanced Telecom Operations Map) were implemented.
Also, during the project for Summa Telecom company the solution on management of requests of clients was created. The project was created for rather short term – within three months – at the limited budget.
In both projects open source software of the JBoss family was used: JBoss Application Server, JBoss ESB, JBoss Portal working running Linux OS that gave the chance significantly to reduce costs for software implementation.
On project completion the following results were achieved:
- "The concept of integration" based on which all further realization of systems was enabled is developed.
- The system of application integration providing operational information transfer between 5 systems is developed and implemented.
- The management system for requests providing processing of requests for connection of users is developed and implemented.
Today the integration systems are put into operation and are actively used within operating activities of Summa Telecom company.
