In JSC Radiozavod (Penza) use of the Galaktika ERP system extends. Now (2008) there are works on automation on the basis of the system of problems of maintaining specifications of products, production planning, management of logistics. Also integration of the Galaktika ERP system with the system of the automated design and process design Intermekh is executed. The project is implemented by specialists of the enterprise, BIT-Vektor company and Galaktika corporation.

A few years ago the management of JSC Radiozavod made the decision on creation at the enterprise of the effective management system based on application of the advanced information technologies. Market research of ERP after which at the enterprise project implementation on system implementation the Galaktika ERP began was carried out. Basic reasons of the choice of this solution at the plant call a full compliance of functionality of a system requirements of JSC Radiozavod, acceptable price characteristics. An additional factor for benefit of the Galaktika ERP was the fact that this system is developed by the Russian company – Galaktika corporation. The Galaktika ERP specialists of the enterprise started system implementation together with BIT-Vektor company - the partner of Galaktika corporation in the Penza region.

During the project processes of accounting, contract management, by production logistics and also personnel management and payroll were consistently automated. Using the Galaktika ERP system control of budgets is exercised.

Carrying out control automation by production became one of the main stages of the project. Now automation of maintaining specifications of products, production planning, management of logistics is carried out. Also integration of the Galaktika ERP system with the system of the automated design and process design Intermekh is performed.

As a result of system implementation the Galaktika ERP in JSC Radiozavod a common information space was created, the effective budgeting system is created, reorganization of enterprise management processes is carried out, the system of accounting and control of material and money resources is adjusted.

Further the enterprise is going to expand use of the Galaktika ERP system – to automate processes of operational management of finance, managements of cost value (controlling) and also warranty service and repair of products.

2016: History of the project and result of implementation

On April 5, 2016 Evgeny Evseev managing on technological and information support by JSC Radiozavod told of software implementation results the Galaktika ERP[1].

By the beginning of 2003 each division and even each specialist solved a problem of information support independently. As a result of several tens of computers which are not integrated by any networks were hammered with the "ill-matched" software products, incomparable data which are stored on nobody to the known rules. It was absolutely impossible obtain reliable information without specific person – the owner of this or that computer. Often in the same division in the next workplaces similar, but cardinally different data as they were received from different sources were placed and processed by the unlike principles. Compare data of different divisions was an unreal task.

Along with the software products of own development functioning to the EU a computer there were fifteen own and purchased systems for personal computers: "Inventory accounting", "Payroll", Registration of personnel, "Management of normative and help economy", Production management, 1C Accounting, "A technology system", Gem, 3D - modeling, SolidWorks and Compass of different versions and even Corel Draw. All these systems worked independently. The data issued by them had intermediate character and required additional calculations and systematization.

Before implementation of ERP any head had no information access in electronic form. Data entry was performed manually and repeatedly, upon transition from one system to another. Data came not only from primary documents, but also from a set of generated. Computer-aided planning of resources, accounting of economic agreements, sales management and finance, budgeting completely were absent. Any head of the top and average management had no information access in electronic form, had no skills of work on the computer and used the data provided by subordinates on paper carriers of any form.

In December, 2002 on Radiozavod the strategy of creation of the uniform (integrated) information space was accepted. Its basis was formed by four principles. The first – information should get to information space in the place of its emergence, once, from one source and it be provided to any interested person in a convenient type in real time. The second – information transfer is performed on a paperless basis, and information is provided to the user exclusively in electronic form. The third – secondary, intermediate data, parallel calculations, approval and mailing of paper documents are not allowed. And the fourth – the documents made using text editors, but not created by directly automated system are prohibited.

Two options were initially considered. The first – to integrate all existing software using electronic document management and to obtain management information by means of processing by its any ERP system. It was offered to purchase a "universal" system which will create the integrated space by convertings and consolidation of all existing databases. At first sight, this way is shorter, but it assumes participation of a large number of people for a continuous communication of information in time and space. The risk of influence of a notorious human factor is huge. Do not perform someone at least one procedure in time – and a common information space will cease to exist.

The second option on which we also stopped, – creation of a common information space using an electronic document management system (PDM system) which had to integrate design processes (CAD/CAM-systems) and processes of management of all types of resources (ERP-systems). According to our strategy, it was solved all information streams – external and internal correspondence, all clerical, administrative, technical documents, all processes of approval – to organize exclusively electronically.

ERP A system "Galaktika ERP" was selected from quality. The role of electronic document management and data storage is executed by a system Intermech (Search-IMBase AVS). The special module of integration between the Intermech and Galaktika systems, was developed jointly by specialists of corporation "Galaktika" and Intermekh. Development of constructions is performed in a system Solid Edge-Unigraphics (today's name NH from Siemens UGS PLM Software).

We needed a full-function management system for all basic and auxiliary processes of the enterprise: from development of budgets on the basis of the signed agreements before production scheduling. There were several main selection criteria.

First, the functionality of a system had to use uniform base, and implementation of each module could happen independently of each other in any time, acceptable for the enterprise. Secondly, a system should be integrated into a common information space with base of designers of products and developers of technology processes without manual entry of these and additional convertings. Thirdly, a system should be suitable for large-scale machine-building and instrument-making custom-made production. It is necessary to process information up to 7-8 million detale-transactions in the shortest possible time.

To the accounting system the demand of orientation to production, and not just of accounting and trade as it usually happens was made. Besides, the solution has to be authorized to use in the organizations and at the enterprises of defense industry complex and also in structures whose activity is important strategically for the state. The system selected by us has the license of FSB of the Russian Federation for an implementation of works, the data connected with use which are the state secret.

About use of the Russian software

Its pluses - in its availability, first of all. It is the reasonable price, setup for the Russian legislation, the technical support considering nuances of the national production and commercial relations. The western systems do not leave opportunities for maneuver at all. The slightest deviation from strictly established order – and a system becomes useless. Our software all the same will work, whatever surprises to us presented, say, the government or sloppiness of our workers.

Modularity of the organization of a system Galaktika made possible to systematically integrate into a management system processes which were controlled in autonomous systems earlier or had no automated management. However, the severe reality introduced the amendments in an order of implementation. Originally we assumed to begin with the financial and sales block which is least automated at that time, but the old mainframe on which the salary was calculated suddenly failed, and before us the perspective loomed to calculate manually a salary of workers-pieceworkers one and a half thousand and thousands of povremenshchik. Therefore at first it was necessary to master the module of the salary of a system Galaktika in an emergency order. Then we were engaged in budgeting and so on before production management.


About processes, labor-consuming for automation

Certainly, production management. Owing to specifics of the defense enterprise we should perform start of a product along with development of documentation. The cycle of production of some products stretches almost for a year, and each new product is only externally similar to previous, but has absolutely unique production structure. You understand about any detailed step-by-step technology in this case out of the question. But issue of the step-by-step plan to workshop, a planned daily task – to the worker, nobody cancelled calculation of the plan of providing with materials and component parts. Specialists of Galaktika corporation had to sweat fairly to think up absolutely original exit from this provision.


About implementation results

Now modules of all guidance loops are in a varying degree involved by the enterprise. In total 162 licenses of a system purchased, in a system about 420 users are registered. We managed to create an end-to-end chain of design process – from three-dimensional model before assembly of a finished product. All CNC machines are switched on in a single information network of the enterprise and obtain information directly from a PDM system.

Transition to paperless information exchange is performed, electronic technical and clerical document management works, will unroll certification center of the electronic signature. For transfer to an electronic document management system of the documents arriving from the outside and sendings of documents in other organizations will deploy the corporate fax allowing to communicate from each workplace. The digital telephone station is united in a single information network with all computers of the enterprise.

Besides, the work on integration into a system Galaktika of all personnel management processes is completed: personnel records, the salary, the automated staff list, electronic time keeping, an electronic checkpoint. In a common information space electricity metering is kept.

All employees underwent multistage training in work in a common information space and to skills of application of the necessary software in the activity. Personal instructions are developed for each workplace. For corporate work necessary standards are created and approved.

Today at the plant any manager – from the CEO to the storekeeper – cannot execute the labor duties without use of the personal computer. All staff of the enterprise works in a common information space.


About an effective objective

The transparency of activity grew, duplication of information is excluded, and instant access to reliable information allowed to minimize errors at acceptance of management decisions. System implementation positively affected the organization of processes at all levels. Work in a common information space allowed to arrange functions of different divisions, to considerably improve interaction between services and mutual control. It is difficult to count the actual economic effect of it in pure form, but in annual profit increase and reduction of unproductive costs there is a considerable share from system implementation "Galaktika ERP".
