X-Com scaled the video surveillance system of the Academy of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia

2023: Security Surveillance System Development

X-Com has completed the project for the development of the security video surveillance system of the Academy of Law and Management of the Federal Penitentiary Service (Academy of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia). X-Com announced this on November 10, 2023.

To comply with the security regime of the external perimeter of the Academy building and the adjacent territories, the customer needed to scale the video surveillance system. The project provided for the replacement of video cameras that do not meet the current requirements, the inclusion of additional cameras, as well as switching equipment and a video recorder in the system. In addition, it was necessary to expand the control capabilities of the current system.

The X-Com project team conducted an audit of the customer's video surveillance system, analyzed the requirements for new equipment and determined the optimal depth of the video archive. Based on the obtained data, a system development project was developed and a specification of the necessary equipment was drawn up. Hikvision cameras of various form factors were chosen to organize perimeter video surveillance. The archive is generated and stored by the TRASSIR NeuroStation 8800R/64 network video recorder. To switch video streams, the solution includes the TP-Link TL-SG1008P PoE switch.

The project was carried out in strict accordance with the contractual conditions in terms of scope and terms. All necessary pre-commissioning and testing has been completed. The most complete use of the resources and capabilities of the system operating at the customer made it possible to minimize the project budget. Under the service contract, X-Com provides service and technical support for the solution.
