2023: Fine for poor medical care for people with stroke
A court in the Rostov region imposed a fine of 75 thousand rubles on the Central District Hospital of the Chertkovsky District, where "violations of the procedure for providing assistance and routing patients with stroke" were revealed. This was reported in the regional Roszdravnadzor on November 10, 2023.
As RIA Novosti writes with reference to the statement of the department, Roszdravnadzor received information about an increase in the mortality rate of patients with acute cerebrovascular accident in the hospital. In this regard, Roszdravnadzor employees conducted an unscheduled inspection at the medical organization.
The revealed violations were recorded and transferred to the Chertkovsky District Court, which brought the defendant to administrative responsibility and imposed a fine of 75 thousand rubles.
According to the Telegram channel Mash, the reason for checking Roszdravnadzor was the high mortality rate in 2022 - then ten pensioners died from strokes and heart attacks in the hospital. It turned out that the institution does not have a neurology department, an MRI apparatus and even a cardiologist. The inspectors decided that the doctors incorrectly treated the patients. According to Roszdravnadzor, doctors should immediately take people to Kamensk.
Acting chief physician Alexandra Ablab said that this is impossible - the patient will not survive the road, first he must be stabilized. In addition, the Kamensky department often lacks location. The main problem of the Chertkovskaya hospital is the lack of doctors. The first neurologist will come to them only in two years: a young doctor from Lugansk will come, according to the publication of the Telegram channel.[1]
