Belgorod plans to train IT specialists at School 21

2023: Agreement to establish a free programming school

Sberbank and the Government of the Belgorod Region agreed to create a free programming school in the region. This was announced on November 17, 2023 by Sberbank.

President, Chairman of the Management Board of Sberbank German Gref and Governor of the Belgorod Region Vyacheslav Gladkov signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of information technology.

The parties agreed on the training of highly qualified IT specialists in the region, necessary for the development of the economy of the Belgorod region. The plans include the creation of a "School 21" from Sberbank in the area of ​ ​ the campus, which trains world-class IT specialists - programmers, ML engineers, development engineers, IT project managers, analysts, juniors, middle- and senior developers. An agreement was also reached on the introduction of digital technologies, platform solutions and other training methods in the Belgorod region, as well as the exchange of best practices and expertise in the field of IT personnel training.

At School 21, everyone over 18 can gain strong IT skills and knowledge, as well as a demanded profession. Admission to school does not depend on previous knowledge, work experience, programming skills and the availability of diplomas. For more than 50% of people, participation in the project is the first programming experience. At school, participants receive the necessary practical knowledge, as well as pump the "soft skills" that are so necessary for a modern specialist.

The training takes place on a domestic digital educational platform developed by Sberbank, with flexible and constantly developing content focused on the current needs of the market. One of the advantages of training is a mandatory three-month internship in an IT company, which ends with the employment of participants.
