2023: Agreement on the free transfer of licenses "Red OS"

Russian developer "RED SOFT" and Branch "of the Russian State University named after A.N. Kosygin (Technologies. Design. Art) "in Tver signed a cooperation agreement. Red Soft announced this on November 17, 2023.

Within the framework of the established partnership, it is planned to donate the license-operating system RED OS for the educational process. Also, the company's specialists will train university teachers. It is planned to organize practices and internships for students in order to improve new skills.

Earlier, RED SOFTWARE and the Government of the Tver Region agreed to transfer software for testing. Thus, the parties contribute to strengthening the technological sovereignty of the region and popularizing Russian hardware and software solutions in the Tver region. The agreement with the Branch of the Kosygin Russian State University in Tver is another step in this direction.

Cooperation with Russian developers is an important component of the import substitution process in the Tver region. We have already established contact with RED SOFT and are working together in several areas. We highly appreciate the developer's readiness to help educational institutions switch to domestic software, since in the current situation, youth education is of fundamental importance. The Tver region is actively developing due to the use of modern digital technologies. The development of advanced methods of work in production is actively moving into the field of higher education. The branch of the Russian State University named after A.N. Kosygin opened two modern specialties - information technology in design and game design. In this regard, partnership with RED SOFT will allow not only to switch to domestic software following the import substitution program, but also to improve the quality of education.

Establishing a partnership with one of the leading IT companies in a very timely manner for our branch. In 2022, new specialties appeared in Tver. We are preparing digital engineers of the future, who will face the primary task of achieving the country's digital sovereignty. Our students will study at the domestic OS from 2023 - a clear example of import substitution and the development of the IT industry in Russia.
