Education

1995-2000

From 1995 to 1996 he worked as deputy chairman of the executive committee of the Tver regional branch of the Democratic Party of Russia.

2002-2008

2014-2016

In 2014-2015 Sergey Snegirev worked as Deputy Director of the MPSC Makhachkala, then - Advisor to the Minister of Press and Informatization of Dagestan[1].

In 2016, he became an adviser to the chairman of the government of the republic and deputy minister of information. Later he took the post of deputy minister - head of the department of the Ministry of Press and Information of Dagestan.

2018: Head of the Ministry of Informatization, Communications and Mass Media of Dagestan

In August 2018, Sergei Snegirev was appointed Acting Minister of Informatization, Communications and Mass Media of Dagestan. Among the priority short-term tasks, Snegirev highlights the development of e-government as a system that increases the transparency of decision-making by the authorities of all levels, control over the implementation of instructions in the prescribed volume and time frame, and reporting to civil society. The development of electronic government information systems will be a serious help in countering corruption, he told the D-Russia portal[2].

Speaking about long-term plans, Snegirev noted that Dagestan, being the youngest region of Russia, personifies the youngest, but at the same time the most dynamically developing sector of the Russian economy - the digital economy.

Snegirev's predecessor was Rashid Akavov, who headed the Ministry of Printing of Dagestan. Against the background of the transformation of the department and the appointment of Snegirev, a decree was signed on his resignation.

The Ministry of Printing of Dagestan was transformed into the Ministry of Informatization, Communications and Mass Media of Dagestan at the end of March.

At the end of December 2020, Sergei Snigerev was appointed interim Minister of Digital Development of the Republic of Dagestan. He headed the Ministry of Digital Development, which appeared instead of the Ministry of Informatization, Communications and Mass Communications.

Appointment as Minister of Digital Development and Information Technologies of the Tver Region

At the end of October 2021, the government of the Tver region announced the appointment of Sergei Snegirev as Regional Minister of Digital Development and Information Technologies. The corresponding order was signed by Governor Igor Rudenya.

Previously, Snegirev worked as the deputy head of the department, and before - until May 2021 - he served as Minister of Informatization, Communications and Mass Media of the Republic of Dagestan.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Information Technologies of the Tver Region was registered in early 2020. This department, as Igor Rudenya said, will make it possible to form a single system of effective implementation in the Tver region of the Digital Economy national project, calculated until 2024. In addition, according to the governor, Tver is one of the historical centers for the development of information technology in Russia, so the region currently has the potential for leadership in the development of the digital economy in the country.[3]
