Accessing Version 6.3

Chi-Kvadrat has opened access to an updated version of the XSQUARE platform for rapid application development and complex business systems. XSQUARE 6.3 is available on the demo stand, which contains several hundred examples of the use of all XSQUARE components - both individually and in conjunction with each other. The developer announced this on January 26, 2026.

At the end of 2025, Chi-Square announced XSQUARE 6.0 with support for Oracle Database and a visual interface designer. Later, the version was transferred to partners and training centers for testing. In a short period, the team received extensive feedback from users, on the basis of which it prepared an update to version 6.3. The new version has implemented over 100 changes and improvements.

The main efforts were focused on three key areas: expanding the capabilities of working with Oracle Database, implementing tools for team development and improving the convenience of working in the development environment. Additionally, security mechanisms have been strengthened and server performance has been optimized.

The main change was the addition of Oracle as a full-fledged database type for data sources along with PostgreSQL. The platform supports both SQL queries and PL/SQL blocks, automatically detects incoming parameters and enables validations for Oracle.

For command development, integration with Git is implemented at the platform core level. Developers have the ability to manage versions and rollbacks directly from the development environment interface. This eliminates the need for third-party tools.

The page editor interface has been significantly redesigned. The components panel is now located directly on the page, received a compact view with icons and two modes of operation. Added panel collapsing and item display control for faster interface creation.

The OIDC authentication mechanism has been improved with the ability to introspect tokens, which increases the security of applications. The server part received redesigned mechanisms for replacing substitution strings and calculating checksums to improve stability, updated kernel components and improved operation of interface elements.

Compatibility with Loongson-based equipment 3A6000

The company "Chi-Square" has confirmed the compatibility of the XSQUARE rapid application development platform with equipment based on the Chinese eight-core processor Loongson 3A6000 LoongArch architecture. During load testing, it was possible to reduce the response time of a single session by almost three times - from 70 to 25 milliseconds (0.025 seconds). Response refers to the time between the user clicking browser in and receiving a response from servers a page for rendering. This was "Chi-Square" announced on December 25, 2025.

Tests were carried out on personal computer with 16 GB of RAM. The software part of the booth included the Russian operating system "," Alt Server database PostgreSQL version 16.11 and the XSQUARE 6.0 platform. During testing, the platform performance was checked when processing a large number of requests to the database - up to 300 simultaneous connections.

According to the test results, the response time of a single session was 25 milliseconds, which is almost three times the value of the previous year (70 milliseconds). This means that the system responds to user actions almost instantly. For example, when you generate a report, the employee does not have to wait for the data to be loaded because the information appears immediately.

With load testing on an industrial scale, it was possible to achieve an indicator of 130-150 user requests per second. Thus, three PCs based on eight-core Loongson 3A6000 processors provide processing of about 500 requests per second, which exceeds the server performance by 128 cores of previous generation Loongson processors.

First of all, it should be noted that XSQUARE works natively on the LoongArch architecture, without binary translators and interpreters. Improved outcomes were made possible by several factors. First of all - optimizing the XSQUARE platform for working with a large number of simultaneous requests. In addition, the updated version of the operating system made it possible to more efficiently utilize processor resources. If a year earlier the OS used about 50-60% of the capacity, now the utilization reaches almost 90% and no more than 10% for system calls.

The test results are especially relevant in connection with the advent of the Russian server processor "Irtysh C616." The basis of this development was the Loongson processor with LA664 cores based on the LoongArch architecture. Since XSQUARE has already been tested on Loongson processors and performed well, the platform is ready to run on Irtysh without additional adaptation.

The appearance of "Irtysh" opens up the opportunity to create a fully trusted technological stack - from the processor to application software. Any company in Russia will be able to transfer its information systems completely to the domestic technological stack without losing productivity. Application Converter View with Oracle APEX and Oracle Form

On November 25, 2025, Chi-Square introduced an application converter with Oracle APEX and Oracle Forms. The tool is able to transfer up to 95% of the functionality automatically and is already used on real projects.

Until the end of 2025, the converter is provided free of charge: from November 1, 2025, it is included in the educational program of training centers on the XSQUARE platform, from December 1 it will become available through the company's partner network.

In 2024-2025, the issue of migration from Oracle APEX became a priority for most Chi-Square customers. Oracle APEX is delivered as part of Oracle Database starting from version 10 and distributed in Russian companies from different industries. Many applications that are built on this platform have been developed for years and contain thousands of pages with critical business logic. Rewriting such applications from scratch takes months of work of a full-fledged team and requires significant development budgets.

The converter reduces migration times tenfold. One specialist transfers a standard solution of 15-20 pages per working day. Migrating the system to 230 pages while saving Oracle Database and replacing only the user interface takes 3-5 days.

The a2x (Apex2XSQUARE) command line utility analyzes the application architecture and creates a ready-made script for deployment in XSQUARE. The solution scales from compact applications of a dozen pages to large enterprise systems with thousands of pages. The utility generates detailed statistics on the scope of upcoming work, which simplifies project planning and calculation of migration costs.

The converter handles the most common and popular Oracle APEX elements: forms, reports, tables, text and numeric fields, value guides, business processes, and data validations. Manual customization requires custom JavaScript scripts, security settings, and unique style solutions. At the same time, the interface after migration remains visually recognizable to end users.

The tool is integrated into the XSQUARE 6.0 platform and serves as an important element of the company's overall strategy for replacing Oracle-based systems. At the same time, Chi-Kvadrat is developing a research direction to create an Oracle Forms converter in XSQUARE and invites organizations with practical experience in this area to cooperate.

Integration with Tantor Postgres DBMS
