On November 20, 2023, the National Computer Corporation introduced its own development in the field of engineering software - a prototype of an independent import-dependent solution for the design and technological preparation of the production of products from composite materials.
According to the company, as part of solving the problem of ensuring the technological independence of mechanical engineering enterprises, many Russian software developers create PLM class systems (product lifecycle support) and their components. One of the components of the PLM class system is the subsystem for the design and technological preparation of the production of products from composite materials (CAD KM), the prototype of which was presented by the National Computer Corporation. As a platform on which the presented solution is based, a completely import-independent system of the PLM class, developed by the state corporation Rosatom - SARUS, is used .
At the event, the results of the prototype of the drapery functionality and the development of the composite fabric were demonstrated. The implementation of these functions is the most knowledge-intensive part of the project.
Technologically independent system of full product lifecycle management for industrial enterprises of SARUS provides implementation of such functional areas as design design, schematic engineering, technological preparation of production, and relies on a single presentation format product data in end-to-end product lifecycle support technology. SARUS is a system based on a single platform in a protected version, providing the main functionality: solid modeling, surface modeling, measurements, geometry analysis, visualization, documentation in accordance with the requirements of the standards (ESKD). The system has its own geometric 3D core, a 2D constraint and 3D blend solver. The CAD subsystem is implemented within a single process platform of the complex.

We have a difficult way to develop a specialized domestic PLM product that meets the needs of Russian mechanical engineering. However, the beginning was laid: the key physical and mathematical problem was successfully solved, the first prototype on the SARUS platform was implemented.
