The company Axenix has completed the first phase of the implementation of the system business analysis data for the company. " Unilever Rus The system runs on the Arenadata platform, which greatly expands the customer's capabilities. Axenix announced this on November 23, 2023.

The project, implemented in Unilever Rus by the joint forces of Axenix and Arenadata, consisted in localizing the customer's IT infrastructure, which made it possible to maintain the company's stability in turbulent times. During the work, the task of restructuring the IT landscape and finding import-substituting analogues for the corporate data warehouse and BI system was solved.

Earlier, as a business analysis system, Unilever Rus used the solution of a foreign vendor through, public cloud provider it employed more than 1,000 users. To maintain continuity business processes , it was necessary to transfer this functionality to a local solution, and in a short time and in parallel with other processes for restarting the IT company's shaft.

We didn't just create an analytical reporting system. We have expanded its capabilities by making it a "single source of truth" for solving complex problems of optimizing promo, planning demand, etc. Axenix helped formalize the requirements for the future system and conduct a thorough analysis of potential solutions, as a result of which the Arenadata platform was chosen, "said Tatyana Kirilenko, head of the competence center for engineering and data architecture and analytics Axenix.

According to Sergei Usachev, senior manager of Axenix's applied AI practice, the implementation of Arenadata within the project went in parallel with other processes and depended on the migration of numerous source and receiver systems. In fact, not only the analytical platform was moved, but also the entire IT landscape. It was important to synchronize all projects within the framework of a single comprehensive architecture and time line of implementation.

As a result of the first stage of implementation, Axenix specialists ensured the creation of the MVP of the new system and put it into commercial operation. By November 2023, work on the second stage is being completed: it provides for integration with several sources of the second priority (about 10 source systems). At the same time, there is a migration and implementation of new functionality for reports and dashboards.

Self-service BI is already running, but business and BI developers are waiting for new data in the data warehouse, which will be updated on a regular basis and supported by the internal IT service.

It is the creation of a full-fledged data warehouse that will allow Unilever Rus to implement advanced analytics tools in the future. BI developers and analysts can now create reports themselves and publish them for a large number of business users, so that a significant part of reports and dashboards gradually migrate to the platform, "said Yuri Blizgarev, CEO of Solutions for the Future, Unilever Rus group of companies.

Unilever Rus now fully manages the solution and its own analytical processes. Business units are provided with sandboxes and everything necessary for self-service BI. This will significantly reduce the time to develop and implement new functionality in the future.
