2023: Agreement on the construction of communication infrastructure along the roads

PJSC Rostelecom"" and the state company Avtodor"" agreed on cooperation construction in communication infrastructure along the roads. Rostelecom announced this on December 6, 2023. The agreement will provide federal highways with sustainable mobile and communication high-speed transmission services data in the standard/. 4GLTE Communication services will be organized on sections of the Vostok M-12 highways in and on Chuvash Republic the Durtyuli-Achit section, the Don M-4 (bypass of Aksai and), and the Krasnodar Neva M-11 (bypass). Tver LLC "" - Pilar tower company will take part in the construction of antenna-mast structures (AMS) in the right-of-way of roads. Tele2

Infrastructure operator "Pilar" offers to lease space on technological sites with antenna-mast structures up to 250 meters high. The portfolio of the tower company exceeds 18 thousand objects in the Russian Federation. At the Pilar facilities located along the roads managed by Avtodor, communication equipment of all cellular operators will be located .

Avtodor provides places for installation of antenna-mast structures in the road right-of-way: site, process connection point, power allocation. This helps to minimize the number of AMCs for the placement of operator equipment, optimize the volume of investments and reduce the construction time.

The installation of AMS along federal roads will accelerate the pace of construction of mobile networks. This, in turn, will help market participants fulfill the requirement of legislation to ensure the coverage of federal roads.

With the opening of the Vostok M-12 sites, the company is confidently entering a new stage of development. As of December 2023, the company's priority is user satisfaction not only from the quality of the road surface, but also from the comfort familiar to our citizens. In other words, any basic needs of a modern person must be qualitatively provided. We attribute to such basic needs the reliable and operational work of emergency commissioners, the high level of service familiar to a city resident at gas stations, food points, during vehicle service and, of course, high-quality and high-speed cellular communication for subscribers of all federal operators. Together with the mobile operator, we have done a great job, the result of which was the systematic approval of the approach for new highways, in which we turnkey prepare platforms for placing communication towers. This solves key operator problems, such as land search, high capital costs for the construction of access roads and technological connection of communication towers. As a result, this allows you to significantly (from 1 year) reduce the time for providing the road with high-speed communication, "said Konstantin Makiev, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Avtodor State Company.

Construction along highways belongs to the most difficult areas of network development. It requires not only investments in the purchase and installation of scarce telecommunications equipment, but also in the construction of AMC. This is often complicated by the lack of points of technological connection to power supply networks, places for the AMC installation, which entails a multiple increase in the cost of construction. Cooperation with Avtodor and the already planned plan for the construction of towers on road sections will allow telecom operators to improve coverage on the most important highways and in the future place additional equipment of the next generations on the AMS built. Customers have long been accustomed to 100% coverage in cities and react painfully to signal interruptions, and the development of networks along highways will help subscribers to be in touch along the entire route, "said Valentin Polozenko, director of tower infrastructure development at Tele2.
