T2 provided continuous coverage of the network on the section of the Don M4 route to bypass Rostov-on-Don and Aksai. To do this, the company installed 10 base stations along the route. Thus, voice communication  stable and high-speed mobile internet  throughout 63 km of the federal highway are T2 available to customers. This was announced by T2 on December 27, 2024.

T2 continues to develop network infrastructure along major federal highways. On the eve of the New Year holidays, the company provided 100% coverage by the network of a section of the Don M4 toll route to bypass Rostov-on-Don and its satellite city Aksai. The 63 km section runs from Platov Airport to the village of Sukhodolsk. T2 installed 10 base stations along the route: the equipment operates in the 2G/4G standards and the 1800 MHz frequency band. Antenna-mast structures along the bypass of the Don M4 were installed by the tower company Pilar LLC, owned by T2. The construction was carried out  under a cooperation agreement between Avtodor and PJSC Rostelecom, which allows the installation of network equipment in the right-of-way and LTE network along the highways in the interests of all participants in the telecommunications market.

At the Pilar facilities located along the roads managed by Avtodor, communication equipment of all cellular operators will be located .

Avtodor provides places for installation of antenna-mast structures in the road right-of-way: site, process connection point, power allocation. This helps to minimize the number of AMCs for the placement of operator equipment, optimize the volume of investments and reduce the construction time.

The installation of AMS along federal roads will accelerate the pace of construction of mobile networks. This, in turn, will help market participants fulfill the requirement of legislation to ensure the coverage of federal roads.

Construction along highways belongs to the most difficult areas of network development. It requires not only investments in the purchase and installation of scarce telecommunications equipment, but also in the construction of AMC.
