A system for decommissioning nuclear and radiation-hazardous facilities has been introduced in the NIIAR State Research Center

Customers: SSC NIIAR - Research Institute of Nuclear Reactors State Scientific Center

Dimitrovgrad; Education and Science

Contractors: ASCON Volga, Greenatom
Product: Pilot: PLM

Project date: 2023/05  - 2023/11

2023: Launch of the decommissioning system for nuclear and radiation-hazardous facilities

In, Research Institute of Nuclear Reactors (JSC "SSC NIIAR" it is part of the scientific division of the State Corporation Rosatom"") the information system of the facility level of the industry information system for decommissioning nuclear and radiation hazardous facilities (YARO) has been put into permanent operation. The system was created by joint efforts of JSC "SSC NIIAR," LLC RC "" and ASCON Volga JSC Greenatom"." This was ASCON announced on December 18, 2023.

The project is part of the approved program for the creation of object information resources for accumulating information on the actual state of nuclear facilities (nuclear and radiation-hazardous facilities).

JSC SSC NIIAR is one of the pilot sites for the implementation of these systems. Chosen for implementation software product Pilot: PLM allows you to manage interrelated information objects and documents that describe the design and characteristics of an atomic energy facility as a whole and its individual elements.

As noted by Vladimir Kolesnik, Head of the Production and Technical Department of SSC NIIAR JSC, the collection, processing and storage of huge amounts of information on many nuclear facilities requires a systematic approach to organizing a data structure. Without this, it is impossible to carry out effective decommissioning planning and implementation activities.

Alexander Pilnov, head of the design department of ASCON Volga RC, said that the configuration of the information system took into account both the strict requirements of the regulatory documentation of the nuclear industry and the availability of mechanisms for further development and adaptation. The transfer of ASCON software products to domestic trusted operating systems and DBMS began in 2019. The project with SSC NIIAR JSC used all existing capabilities to ensure digital sovereignty.

Following the implementation of the project, representatives of JSC SSC NIIAR, RC ASCON Volga and JSC Greenatom noted the mutual high level of competencies and established partnerships.
