Service "Sberbank" will provide green energy Moscow electric transport

The Sberbank service will provide green energy to Moscow electric transport. To do this, they will use the voluntary certification system for low-carbon energy developed by Sberbank. Sberbank announced this on December 21, 2023.

Sberbank will help GUP Mosgortrans in issues of sustainable development (ESG) and the transition to the use of low-carbon and renewable energy. An agreement on this was signed between Sberbank, State Unitary Enterprise Mosgortrans, the Transport Innovations Fund of Moscow (TIM Fund) and PJSC Territorial Generating Company No. 1 (TGK-1).

Sberbank's service ensures the attraction of targeted investments in the production of low-carbon and renewable energy in Moscow, the Central and North-Western Federal Districts. For this, specialized information technology services of the bank and the group's companies will be used, including the voluntary certification system for low-carbon energy developed by Sberbank for the issuance of certificates of origin of electricity. The operator of the Low Carbon Energy Register is the Special Control Technologies company.
