2024: Product Announcement

On January 4, 2024, Nanowear announced the release of the new Simplesense underwear, which is capable of measuring blood pressure with high accuracy. The data collected can be remotely analyzed by medical professionals to identify dangerous abnormalities.

Nanowear is positioning its solution as "the first non-invasive, montage-free, blood pressure monitor and continuous diagnostic device." Simplesense is a fabric-based underwear that wraps around a patient's torso and one shoulder. The product is equipped with two ECG electrodes, sensors for recording tones and heart activity, as well as for measuring respiratory rate using thoracic impedance.

The information collected by the sensors is sent to the attending physician, which allows you to track a number of vital functions of a person, such as heart rate, breathing intensity, lung volume, level of physical activity, etc. At the same time, the patient can lead a familiar lifestyle. If any alarming changes are detected, doctors will be able to quickly take the necessary measures.

The Simplesense-BP software based on artificial intelligence is responsible for measuring systolic and diastolic blood pressure. Before using this function, clinicians need to take a traditional blood pressure measurement to classify the patient's hypertension, but can then assess the patient's condition remotely without using a cuff to collect data. Tests have shown that the system meets the International Organization for Standardization criteria for maintaining accuracy for four weeks after calibration without any sign of drift or divergence.[1]
