In September 2024, it became known that the Russian company "Aquarius" signed a contract for the supply of 39,500 automated jobs (AWS) for government agencies Donetsk in and, Luganskaya People's Republics as well as in and. According to Vedomosti, the supply of equipment is planned for use in the offices and state structures of these regions. The contract was concluded within the framework of a state project, which is coordinated by Rostelecom. The contract with Aquarius was concluded following an open auction held by Rostelecom at the Roseltorg site in July 2024. Yadro also took part in the tender, but it did not receive a contract. Among the auction participants were three other companies whose names were not disclosed. The fall in prices at the end of trading amounted to more than 30%, which reduced the total amount of the contract from the initially declared ₽ 4.39 billion to ₽3,04 billion.
The AWS includes a standard set of office equipment: a personal computer, a monitor, a keyboard and a mouse. Depending on the type of jobs supplied, the price varies. Thus, the first type of AWS is estimated at ₽74 900 per unit, the second - at ₽78 300. This is a decrease compared to similar contracts last year, when the average price per AWS was ₽94 900. According to representatives of the Aquarius company, the price reduction is associated with the optimization of production processes and improved project management.
The project for the supply of AWS for government agencies of new regions is strategic for the Aquarius company, given its importance for the state interests of Russia. According to the company, such a large-scale order requires significant production resources, and the contract will take several months to fulfill. At the same time, quality control at all stages of production remains a critical factor, which is especially important in the mass production of such equipment.[1]

According to CNews, the supply of equipment was carried out by Rostelecom under a contract with the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation. Initially, it was assumed that computers would be produced by three companies: 10 thousand devices were supposed to be shipped by Yadro, another 10 thousand - by ICL, and the remaining 15 thousand - by Aquarius. But in the end, the contract was concluded only with Aquarius. This company has two production sites located in Shuy and Tver. Their capacity is 1.5 million units per year, so the production of 35 thousand computers could take less than a month.
It is noted that trucks with Aquarius equipment traveled to the LPR, DPR, Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions during the last weeks of 2023. According to available information, the devices are intended for use in government agencies. The price of the Aquarius computer for large projects ranges from 45 thousand to 50 thousand rubles apiece. Thus, the total cost of equipment shipped to new territories may range from 1.575 billion rubles to 1.75 billion rubles.
In addition to the Aquarius computers, according to CNews, RDW monitors were delivered to the new territories. The price of such devices in online stores varies from 11 thousand rubles to 39 thousand rubles. Therefore, even taking into account the minimum cost, the supply of monitors could cost 380 million rubles. It is also said that in 2024 it is planned to ship additional equipment to the LPR, DPR, Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions - up to 80 thousand personal computers.[2]
