According to CNews, the supply of equipment was carried out by Rostelecom under a contract with the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation. Initially, it was assumed that computers would be produced by three companies: 10 thousand devices were supposed to be shipped by Yadro, another 10 thousand - by ICL, and the remaining 15 thousand - by Aquarius. But in the end, the contract was concluded only with Aquarius. This company has two production sites located in Shuy and Tver. Their capacity is 1.5 million units per year, so the production of 35 thousand computers could take less than a month.

It is noted that trucks with Aquarius equipment traveled to the LPR, DPR, Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions during the last weeks of 2023. According to available information, the devices are intended for use in government agencies. The price of the Aquarius computer for large projects ranges from 45 thousand to 50 thousand rubles apiece. Thus, the total cost of equipment shipped to new territories may range from 1.575 billion rubles to 1.75 billion rubles.

In addition to the Aquarius computers, according to CNews, RDW monitors were delivered to the new territories. The price of such devices in online stores varies from 11 thousand rubles to 39 thousand rubles. Therefore, even taking into account the minimum cost, the supply of monitors could cost 380 million rubles. It is also said that in 2024 it is planned to ship additional equipment to the LPR, DPR, Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions - up to 80 thousand personal computers.[1]
