2024: Product Announcement
In early January 2024, the Chinese company LimX Dynamics introduced a humanoid robot CL-1, which is able to independently climb stairs, adapting to certain conditions. It is assumed that in the future such machines will be able to perform a wide range of tasks - both at commercial sites and enterprises, and in everyday life.
According to the developers, the CL-1 is capable of performing complex dynamic actions due to the perception of the area in real time. In other words, the robot is not programmed to accurately perform certain sequences of actions corresponding to a particular task. Instead, the machine analyzes information from on-board sensors using artificial intelligence algorithms. In addition, a specialized LimX Dynamics motion management system is involved. The picture is completed by high-performance drives and an improved hardware platform.
CL-1 is one of the few humanoid robots in the world that is capable of dynamically climbing stairs based on real-time perception of the terrain, says LimX Dynamics. |
The robot can effectively perform other complex tasks related to terrain orientation. This is, in particular, descent down the slope and movement indoors and outdoors in various conditions. Integrated elements of perception and control allow the machine to adapt to the current situation, and not just strictly follow the embedded program. It is emphasized that LimX Dynamics uses the same basic set of algorithms for various functions, forms and scenarios for the operation of robots - be it hand or foot movements, movement on wheels or on two limbs. This ensures unification and reduces costs.[1]
