2022: Organization of General Data Cloud Environment at Ertay Petroshem Rus

Vitro Software implemented Vitro-CAD Online, a cloud-based technical project data management solution at Ertay Petroshem Rus.

Project objectives

• Organize a unified environment for exchange and coordination of documentation with designers, project customer and process equipment suppliers;
• Implement clear tracking of versioning and revision numbers of documents;
• Differentiate user access to information - each user sees and works only with those documents and folders to which he has access;
• Automate documentation approval processes.

During the implementation, a typical solution configuration was installed, which includes:

• functionality of coordination of documentation with the customer;
• QR coding to monitor the relevance of document revisions;
• Comment register with the ability to place comments directly on the PDF drawing or on the ifc model.

Implementation results

Approval processes have been set up to automate the technical documentation approval process. Currently, 36 users work in the system. This implementation shows an example of the effective use of the Vitro-CAD online cloud solution in the oil and gas and petrochemical industries.

We have something to compare with. Our company switched to Vitro with Oracle Aconex. Almost all the functions that we used earlier are in Vitro-CAD. The system works well, we like it.
