2024: Axelot TMS Implementation Results
The use of AXELOT TMS helps Novline deliver goods to customers on time, as well as quickly pick up items that have not been taken if necessary. Axelot (Axelot) announced this on March 6, 2024.
Novline the Russian is a company specializing in the production and sale of automobile accessories of domestic and foreign production in the territory, in more Russia countries CIS than 50 countries of the world.
The company delivers products from the class "A" distribution center located in Khotkovo. Moscow region Products are delivered directly to customers, as well as goods are taken from suppliers. In order to optimize route planning and improve the efficiency transport of fleet management, the company's management decided to automate logistic processes.
The main objectives of the project, in addition to automation of key processes, were:
- Increase employee transparency in route planning;
- Increase and control of employee productivity;
- Decrease in the number of vehicles attracted with an increase in production volumes;
- Improving the quality of order processing;
- Elimination of dependence on the human factor and optimization of the headcount.
Novline applied to AXELOT to solve the tasks, and AXELOT TMS was chosen as the software solution.
The introduction of AXELOT TMS allowed the automation of flight planning and control. Thanks to the expanded functionality of the system, the specialists of the transport department have the opportunity to plan flights in advance (there is an opportunity to adjust both for the day and for the week, to make adjustments during the flight). During the project, AXELOT specialists configured the integration loop using the specialized DATAREON Platform module. The integration of the corporate information system with TMS made it possible to automate the unloading of orders from the existing system.
To take into account the peculiarities of flight planning, the AXELOT SCAP module was also implemented at Novline.
AXELOT SCAP allows you to plan "mixed flights," which include delivery orders from the distribution center and requests for picking up an item from a customer. As part of the planning, the system takes into account the time for delivery of cargo, the time for work at points, as well as the loading of the body, taking into account loading and unloading at customer points.
In addition, AXELOT SCAP takes into account the ability to form several transport departures within one planning period. This functionality can be enabled in the system settings if it becomes necessary to perform several flights per day by one vehicle.
During the execution of flights, drivers use a mobile client, but the possibility of registering the execution of operations for the execution of flights manually by a logist in the AXELOT TMS workplace is not excluded.
Despite the fact that AXELOT TMS fully takes on the task of planning flights taking into account various conditions, the driver is still able to make adjustments to planned routes. So, in the event of emergency situations on the way, drivers have the opportunity to indicate the problem in the mobile client and change further plans for the route. Directly in the mobile client, it is possible to take a photo recording of the correction reasons - accident circumstances, condition of goods, conditions in the loading/unloading zone. In addition, AXELOT TMS allows you to change the order of detours of points for the driver if he believes that such a need has arisen.
Thanks to the implementation of AXELOT TMS and AXELOT SCAP, Novline has achieved all the goals set before the start of the project. The system helped optimize routes: reduce the number of vehicles involved and its mileage, as a result of which the number of personnel is optimized. Routes are planned in TMS, which eliminates the possibility of error, and during manual adjustments, the traceability of the changes made and their authorship are preserved.
