2023: Building a Stand
IT Group Otkritie created a stand in the Tomsk Region. The company announced this on January 19, 2024.
Ideas for the design of the stand of the Tomsk region were gleaned in the "Wizard of the Emerald City" by Alexander Volkov: three thematic zones, "Heart," "Mind" and "Courage." The first, "Heart," presents the development of the region in the field of medicine, the second, "Mind" - about achievements in science, and "Courage" tells about the most daring breakthrough developments. The peculiarity of the stand is the rich and bright visual created by many screens and pre-developed content.
{{quote 'Tight deadlines and tight timing are a characteristic feature of the most interesting projects in the implementation of which we had a chance to take part, and the stand of the Tomsk region is just one of these, "said Vladimir Rozin, General Director of the Otkritie IT Group. - The project started in August 2023, by mid-August the concept of the stand had already been developed and agreed. The idea was born from the legend that Alexander Volkov, the author of The Emerald City, was inspired to write the tale by the house of Stanislav Khomich, the provincial architect of Tomsk. This is an interesting concept that connects the outstanding sides of the Tomsk region. }}
The company's engineers began installing the stand at the end of September, and completed work on November 3: the installation took a little more than a month.
The most memorable, and in my opinion - the central zone "Heart," - said Vladimir Rozin. - The main element here is 12 LED screens located in the shape of a heart. In the "Courage" zone, we have 4 large LED screens that show interviews with initiative entrepreneurs in the region, who are focused on technological breakthroughs in different areas. In the very center of this zone of the stand there is a table equipped with four touch panels, two of them run a game developed by a studio from the Tomsk region, and two more - a website telling about the higher education system in the region, developed specifically for the exhibition. Also, a large 65-inch touch screen is mounted on the stand, designed to demonstrate temporary, replaceable plots. We update this replaceable content for every holiday, for every significant date. On a large 100-inch plasma panel, various high-resolution content is broadcast, with an audio track. And in the "Um" zone, 5 LCD panels broadcast permanent content about Tomsk universities. |
Specialists of the IT group Otkritie had to face a number of difficulties that were successfully resolved. The largest of them is related to the documentary and permissive component of the process. For each decision, it was necessary to request written permission and agree on ideas. All stages of construction went strictly consistently: without closing one stage, it was impossible to start the other. The work was not easy, many non-standard engineering solutions were applied.
