On January 23, 2024, the Decision Group announced the automation of the work of the ZhBI-1 String and Concrete Plant in Kaliningrad. The 1C: Integrated Automation system optimizes the production management according to the subcontracting scheme. Accurate cost calculation is provided. An end-to-end accounting of the movement of products from procurement to shipment is organized. Orders are processed faster, the number of orders executed monthly increased by 15%.
According to the company, the ZhBI-1 works according to the subcontracting scheme. The range of products excluding the sizes for January 2024 has about 70 items. The annual output of reinforced concrete products is more than 90 thousand cubic meters.
Previously, different programs and spreadsheets were used for accounting and management at the plant. Document flow was not automated. There was no consolidated inventory accounting, accounting data often did not correspond to the actual availability of raw materials and finished products in the warehouse. One of the key problems was the inability to accurately calculate the cost of production.
This complicated the calculation of the profitability of completed orders and the management of pricing. Managers spent a lot of time processing orders, applications "hung" for a long time in anticipation. Management did not have reliable data on profitability and profit, it was difficult to monitor the effectiveness of the company.
The company needed an information system that would allow combining the work of the divisions, organizing the correct calculation of production costs, and ensuring end-to-end accounting of the movement of products from procurement to shipment. It was necessary to optimize the processing of incoming requests and paperwork, planning purchases and sales, strengthen control over costs, profitability, mutual settlements with customers and suppliers.
The partner for implementation was the partner of the company "1C" in Kaliningrad - GC "Solution." To implement the project, the 1C: Integrated Automation system was chosen. The project was implemented in 3 months. The system was deployed at 35 workplaces, integrated with 1C: Document Flow and 1C: Accounting.
Key Project Deliverables:
- The system implements a mechanism for controlling the processing of subcontracting raw materials. The calculation of the cost of production, taking into account the production of employees and equipment, has accelerated 2 times. The cost is calculated accurately and without errors, it became possible to quickly and quickly calculate the profitability of orders.
- Accurate accounting of stock balances is ensured. The manager can generate a balance report at any time that corresponds to the actual quantity of products in the warehouse. Planning purchases and sales has become easier.
- The processing of incoming orders has doubled. Based on orders, the system automatically generates quotations, contracts, and supporting documents. Managers quickly calculate the exact cost of the order, coordinate it with the client, draw up applications for production and control the timing of the release of finished products.
- An end-to-end accounting of the movement of products at all stages of the execution of a customer's order is organized - from the receipt of an application, the formation of a cost price and the setting of a price to production and shipment. Managers were able to quickly monitor the fulfillment of orders in production, as well as mutual settlements with counterparties.
- Management promptly receives reports on profitability and gross profit. In addition, additional specialized reports have been added to the system, for example, "Production Report Taking into Account the Weight of Reinforced Concrete Products," "Coating Report," "Report on Goods Stored by the Processor."
- Optimized management of the state defense order. Separate accounting of the financial and economic activities of the organization in the execution of contracts was implemented, control over the fulfillment of orders was strengthened.
The results of the project demonstrate the correctness of the decision we made - both in terms of choosing the 1C: Integrated Automation information system, and in terms of choosing a partner for its implementation. It was possible to solve current problems that made it difficult to work. First of all, it is the formation of accurate cost, reports, optimization of the work of managers and reduction of the share of manual operations. They put things in order in the warehouse, it became easier to work in the state defense order. We believe that the set goals have been achieved - this is evidenced by quantitative and qualitative indicators following the results of the period after automation.
