In the distribution center of the company "Ikorny" automated collection of orders. This was announced on January 30, 2024 by Scanport.

The main tasks are:

• Simplify and expedite all warehouse operations, including order collection and shipping
• minimize accounting errors due to the human factor;
• Reduce resorption and shortages.

At the time of contacting the contractor, the customer kept records in the 1C: Trade Management program. It was necessary to choose mobile solutions - data collection terminals (shipping documentation) and applications for them, with the help of which employees of the distribution center could:

• receive up-to-date information from the accounting system online;
• find the necessary products by barcode;
• quickly and without errors collect orders for tasks from 1C;
• Send data remotely from the shipping documentation to the accounting program.

The company's assortment includes not only seafood, but also drinking bottled water, which can be traced through the Honest Sign system. In this regard, it was necessary to choose a solution that would support work with marking codes. It was important for the customer that the mobile software for shipping documentation had an understandable and simple interface and integrated with 1C without any problems.

For mobile automation in the distribution room, it was proposed to use ON DataMobile Marking with an additional software module.

Inexpensive shipping documentations were chosen to work with the application:

• ATOL Smart.Slim;
• ATOL Smart.Pro;

• Urovo DT40.

All three models are equipped with a 4-inch keyboard and touchscreen, are well protected from dust and moisture (from IP65) and support all popular interfaces (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB). The battery capacity (from 4,000 mAh) is enough for at least 10 hours of battery life.

To maximize automation capabilities, the customer decided to choose an extended version of DataMobile - Online. It allows you to exchange data with the "accounting system" in real time, so warehouse employees always have access to the most up-to-date information. Using the application on the shipping documentation, you can:

• Quickly inventory the warehouse, identify discrepancies
• receive an order collection task from 1C and perform it in a few minutes, scanning barcodes from the selected goods;
• Record movements in the warehouse
• Create group packages
• print labels with shipping documentation, etc.

The additional module "Marking" expands the capabilities of DataMobile in terms of working with bottled water and allows you to comply with the requirements of the "Honest Sign" when working with this product. Employees of the distribution center can check the uniqueness and correctness of marking codes, identify the product and receive detailed information on it (including the number of balances).

The client independently implemented and configured the application for its tasks. The proposed solution fully suited it in terms of functionality and ease of work.

With the help of DataMobile software and shipping documentation ATOL and Urovo, warehouse accounting in the Ikorny distribution center was automated from scratch. As a result, it was possible:

• Accelerate all warehouse operations, including order collection
• reduce resorption;
• eliminate errors when filling in documents, in particular, the "Transfer Order";
• establish the registration of marked water in accordance with the requirements of the "Honest Sign."

The employees of the distribution center quickly mastered the functions of the application and successfully use it in their work.
