2024: 1C:MDM Regulatory Reference Management Solution Load Testing

Specialists of the company "First Bit" office "Sportivnaya" conducted load testing for the company "Greenatom" system "1C:MDM Management of regulatory reference information," as a result of which the system demonstrated high stability, operability and stability with the simultaneous work of more than 6,000 users. This "First Bit" reported on February 7, 2024.

The company uses an NSI management system based on, SAP MDM but after the departure of a foreign vendor from Russia and as part of the course at import substitution Greenatom, it considers alternative solutions as an NSI management system. One of them is a system based on the "" platform. The company 1C: Enterprise 1C First Bit, the office of Sportivnaya, acted as the official partner and largest franchisee of the company for conducting load testing of the 1S:MDM system.

One of the key factors that was taken into account when choosing the system was its ability to effectively cope with high load without reducing performance in terms of APDEX indicators. Greenatom presented clear parameters and criteria for load testing, the main purpose of which was to demonstrate high performance and stability of the system under high load from 6000 competing users for 8 hours.

Load testing was carried out at the powers of the "First Bit." As a test, it was decided to emulate the work of users with background jobs, without starting client sessions. It was necessary to simulate as closely as possible the load of such operations as opening a list form, updating it, scrolling, opening an object form, etc. The Zabbix monitoring system was also installed so that customer specialists could connect to the stand and analyze the data during the 8-hour test.

During load testing, no background jobs failed, and the average execution time of most key operations was within the 2-second limit. Thus, the test results confirmed the high performance of the 1C: MDM platform, high-load stability and wide scalability.

We consider testing 1C products as a matter of providing our customers with guarantees in terms of performance and fault tolerance, "said Heydar Gabrielants, project manager at First Bit. - Not all IT integrators know how to carry out load testing and are ready to invest in it. It's expensive, difficult, but we do. The obtained results of load testing allow us to declare the readiness of domestic 1C solutions to scale for any load.

In our company, the number of users who use NSIs at the same time is estimated at thousands of people. Therefore, it was important for us that the system was able to work around the clock and consistently with maximum performance. The speed and simultaneous work of thousands of employees is a real requirement of our company. The 1C:MDM system passed the test and showed good results - the average system response (98% of requests) was about 2 seconds, which meets the requests of most corporate clients, "said Zayana Achinova, director of the 1C competence center, Greenatom JSC.
