2024: T-FLEX PLM implementation

T-FLEX PLM system has been implemented at the Ural EP. This was reported on February 19, 2024 by Top Systems.

The goal of the project was to transfer business processes from Western software to domestic T-FLEX PLM software with improvements in all stages, from creating a concept for a new car to selling it to a customer.

The work was carried out without losing data and stopping the critical, complex and high-precision production involved in especially important projects.

To ensure technological sovereignty and transition to domestic software, simultaneous migration of data from three systems to one was required. This included connecting objects by designation (article), highlighting revisions by dates and reference documents, and defining object types in the BOM sections.

The project also involved uninterrupted parallel operation in various systems without stopping business processes and production. This covered foreign ERP, domestic ERP, the Russian engineering data management system (PDM) with seamless integration and data exchange between them.

During the two-year project, which began in January 2020, more than 600 workplaces were automated. Tasks included migration of data from design and technical preparation of production, maintenance of product compositions in the engineering data management system (PDM), management of changes in design data (CD), maintenance of routes and technical processes, as well as integration with 1C:ERP.

As part of the project, a lot of work was done with a large amount of data, including 1,700 complete product compositions, 300,000 components and more than 2 million hierarchical relationships. The variability of the compositions reached more than 200 product options.

All data successfully migrated to this PDM system without interruption of production run and data loss. The procedures for coordinating changes to the design and technological documentation and the functionality of the archive were developed. A mechanism for integrating with the system was also created:. 1CERP

The project ended with the putting into commercial operation with the complete shutdown of old systems of foreign software.
