T-FLEX PLM is a product lifecycle management and enterprise management solution. 2024: Compatible with Astra Linux 1.7 and 1.8

"Top Systems" together with "Astra Group" make it more accessible to work with the T-FLEX PLM complex in a Linux environment. This was reported to "Top Systems" on October 22, 2024.

The compatibility of the T-FLEX PLM complex programs with Astra Linux 1.7 and 1.8 has been officially confirmed. Vendor experts have developed an installation manager, and now you can install and use the software stack effectively without programming and Linux administration skills. With this, the entire product lifecycle management tool can be used by industrial enterprises that do not have Linux specialists on staff.

Engineering software is very demanding on the computing resources of IT systems, the presence of graphic capabilities and the means of integration with special equipment involved in production processes. Many Russian IT companies are working hard to provide customers with the necessary elements of the operating environment. In particular, domestic Linux operating systems are being developed, which should become the main operating environment for enterprises.

Top Systems continues to develop its programs based on domestic operating systems based on Linux. In May 2024, a special demonstration was organized of the cross-platform versions of the T-FLEX DOCs client (product lifecycle management system) and the prototype T-FLEX CAD design automation system, assembled directly in a Linux environment running Astra Linux. In October 2024, work is actively underway to release a Linux version for large-scale industrial use. An intermediate step for the transition to the Linux operating environment from domestic manufacturers is the use of Wine technology, which allows you to run Windows versions of the T-FLEX PLM complex under Linux. Wine is a universal tool created and developed by the open community of developers, and requires refinement and configuration, including code modification, to the requirements of the T-FLEX PLM software products for their correct full-featured operation in a Linux environment. Also, the transition to the Linux operating system itself requires specialized qualifications from administrators and users, and the deployment of the Wine environment to launch the software products of the T-FLEX PLM complex requires knowledge of Linux administration skills.

2023: Obtaining T-FLEX DOCs FSTEC Certificate

On February 21, 2023, Top Systems announced the completion of the certification procedure for information protection tools and receipt of the FSTEC certificate for the key software product of the T-FLEX PLM platform, the T-FLEX DOCs engineering data management system. The certificate was issued on February 8, 2023. From this moment, the T-FLEX DOCs software product is included in the State Register of the Information Security Certification System for Information Security Requirements. It is an industrial, PLM-certified solution with built-in anti-intrusion security that meets Level 4 trust.

According to the company, according to the information security requirements approved by the order of the FSTEC of Russia dated June 2, 2020 N 76, the T-FLEX DOCs system can be used in significant objects of the critical information infrastructure of category 1, in state information systems of 1 security class, in automated control systems of production and technological processes of 1 security class, in personal data information systems, if it is necessary to ensure 1 level of personal data security, in public information systems of class II.

T-FLEX DOCs provides information support for application solutions and automation of business processes in the following areas of activity:

In accordance with the specifications, the certified T-FLEX DOCs software has a modular client-server architecture and consists of the following parts:

The server part includes an application server that provides all the functionality of the system, a database server, an alert server, as well as a file server that is a repository of object files. On the basis of the server part, a WEB server can be deployed, used for the operation of the system WEB client.

  • The certified client part is implemented through two execution sets:
    • Cross-platform distribution running the Astra Linux Special Edition operating system (NOS 2557 certificate number, valid until 27.01.2026) and under Windows operating systems.
    • Distribution kit for operating systems of the Windows family, representing the functionality for administration and interaction with the functionality of the server part.

The client part is an independent application that is installed at each workplace, uses password access and provides the entire range of system capabilities in strict accordance with the user's rights to perform specific operations on specific objects. The number of customer locations is determined depending on the needs of the enterprise. Customer locations can be workplaces of engineering and technology departments, archive, office, marketing service, management, etc. The operation of the client part can also be organized through the WEB client.

2021: T-FLEX Presentation Gears

On April 19, 2021, Top Systems introduced the next product in the T-FLEX PLM complex - T-FLEX Gears. This is an integrated application in T-FLEX CAD for the design, calculation and analysis of gears.

For April 2021, the solution has the following capabilities:

  • Creates a 3D model of a gear, gear, or mechanism based on multiple gears;

Single platform provides a single digital design environment and allows you to consider all processes as comprehensively as possible. It is this approach that underlies systems engineering methods. In accordance with them, the design process is a unity of three main subsystems: requirements development, product structure management (including configuration) and functional design of the product (its logic and architecture).

In parallel with the development of requirements on the T-FLEX PLM platform, a functional architecture of the future product can be designed. The system allows you to describe the functional diagram of the interaction of the components of the future product, design its logical structure and determine the physical architecture. In the future, this model will become the main one for describing the processes taking place in the product. Data from the functional architecture is associated with both requirements and product structure objects. This makes it possible to close together a triangle of concepts: requirement - function - object of the product structure.

When talking about a product in T-FLEX PLM, all possible and user-required forms of its presentation are understood: as a requirement structure, as a logical model, as a functional, zonal, construction, design, technological, physical, or any other product structure. And already at the development stage, we get tools for working with different product views, different types of product structure, automatic configuration and management of options, quick management of the visualization of product elements according to categories, as well as statuses and revision support.

The user is provided not only with all of the above tools, but also with the ability to work with the product in the PDM system: the window T-FLEX CAD inside T-FLEX DOCs allows for synchronous selection and marking of product structure objects both in the design or process structure tree and directly in the model view window. In the same window, the user has the opportunity to use all the necessary system operations CAD without launching individual applications. These include analyzing the Model Tree, taking any measurements, creating markups directly in a 3D or 2D scene, etc.

Continuing development in a single T-FLEX PLM environment, the user gets the opportunity to reach the very end in this process - the release of evidence based on the product test results registered in the system. Work with any documents can be organized according to pre-described business processes, and annotation tools, which allow, in particular, annotating PDF documents, will allow you to correctly organize the entire process of design and preparation of production.

As of December 2012, the T-FLEX DOCs 2012 system is the basic component of the T-FLEX PLM + complex, designed to solve the problems of design and technological document management, organizational and administrative document management and comprehensive management of engineering data of the enterprise.

The modern T-FLEX DOCs 2012 software package allows you to solve the problems of automating the development and maintenance of product composition, collective project management and modeling of business processes, document management and archive management, reporting, product composition analysis and many others. T-FLEX DOCs 2012 enables you to manage engineering data at a higher level.

The developers of Top Systems have carried out serious work to assess all aspects of the application of the T-FLEX DOCs 2012 software complex in a variety of areas of activity.
