Cementum abandoned SAP and Salesforce in favor of 1C

2024: Implementation of an ERP system fully localized in Russia

Cementum implemented a project to implement its own ERP system based on 1C software, completely localized in the Russian Federation. This was announced on March 1, 2024 to TAdviser by representatives of Cementum. They also clarified to the TAdviser portal that the company previously used SAP, Salesforce, Logon systems.

According to the head of IT "Cementum" Alexander Polumordvinov and the head of digital transformation "Cementum" Andrei Ionov, until recently the main systems necessary to ensure the operation of the company's digital services were abroad. To ensure data security and strengthen technological sovereignty, Cementum switched to an ERP system fully localized in Russia.

"Integrating the new system into the company's operations was a complex but necessary process. We attracted additional resources and actively interacted with contractors in order to carry out the transition as soon as possible, "Alexander Polumordvinov shared.

According to him, during the project, an audit of available IT systems, pre-project research, testing of the ERP system before launch were carried out. All digital solutions of Cementum are now combined on one platform, which has a positive effect on the efficiency of business processes, added Alexander Polumordvinov.

The ERP system coordinates the flow of corporate data and integrates financial, supply chain, manufacturing, and human resources management on a single platform. Around it, Cementum built a system of services that automate the main business processes of the company.

As representatives of TAdviser specified, a whole range of IT solutions was used in the project:

• "1C:ERP. Holding management "- to automate the processes of procurement, sales, accounting and tax accounting, maintenance and repair;
• 1S:TLE ("1C:Transport logistics, Expediting and Motor Vehicle Management");
• "1C: Production safety. Occupational Health and Safety ";
• "ATS: Product Shipment Management";
• "1C-Bitrix24";
• 1IDM - Manage accounts and access rights.

"Cementum" has always been distinguished by a high level of automation. It is important for us to keep the functionality of the ERP system at the same level in order to continue to effectively coordinate the company's business processes. Thanks to the well-coordinated work of our employees and partners, it was possible to combine several critical business applications into one chain and existing infrastructure services to preserve the necessary functionality, but this is not the final stage of the project, "said Andrei Ionov, head of digital transformation at Cementum.

As he specified, it is planned to further refine the implemented ERP system over the next few years.
