PIX BI Implementation Complete
Integrator "First Bit" has implemented an analytical BI system based on the PIX BI platform for Neva Travel. This was announced by "First Bit" on December 27, 2024.
The implementation of the solution has become a necessity due to the dynamic growth of the business and the need to effectively manage data on ticket sales and resource utilization. The BI system simplifies the process of analyzing sales data and quickly informs managers and specialists of up-to-date analytical information.
As a result of the implementation of the system, the company was able to reduce the time for processing reports by 50%, which significantly increased the speed of decision-making and the overall efficiency of the team. At the same time, the accuracy of sales forecasting increased by 30%.
An important component of the system was monitoring the loading of ships, berths and the work of cashiers. Flexibility in selecting time periods and filters enables in-depth data analysis to identify important trends and patterns.
Within the framework of the project, we conducted a detailed analysis of the data of Neva Travel, identified key metrics and indicators KPI necessary for assessing the main business indicators. Based on the data obtained, an ETL processing process was developed using a high-performance column database ClickHouse and a BI PIX BI system. This approach guarantees not only the automatic processing of daily sales data, but also the ability to analyze historical data for previous years, "said RPA Finance Pyotr Ivanishchev, head of the BI/IT integrator First Bit project department in St. Petersburg. |
The implementation of analytical tools in the work of Neva Travel made it possible to increase the accuracy of sales forecasting by 30%. Cross-functional analysis of data is now available to various departments of the company, which improves the interaction between teams and creates a unified view of business processes.
As a result of the project, Neva Travel received a fully import-substituted BI system that uses a combination of Russian software and open source solutions. In addition, all critical data remains inside the company's corporate network, which meets strict information security and privacy standards.
Thus, the implementation of a comprehensive BI system for Neva Travel not only increased the efficiency of data management, but also provided the company with a powerful tool for analyzing and optimizing business processes, which contributes to the further growth and development of the company in a competitive environment.
Start PIX BI Implementation
First Bit introduces PIX BI at Neva Travel. PIX Robotics (Peaks Robotics) announced this on March 12, 2024.
Evgeny Demidov, a representative of Neva Travel, spoke about the experience of cooperation with IT the First Bit integrator and the implementation of the domestic PIX system BI within the framework of the traditional CIO Club SPb meeting.
Initially, all the company's reporting was conducted in Excel, but experts were faced with the fact that they needed to process an increasing amount of information. Standard tables could no longer cope with this.
The management of the company was familiar with BI systems, so they quickly realized that further development of the business would be ineffective if they did not start using professional BI.
As a result, Neva Travel turned to First Bit, as the integrator has proven itself well in the market, has extensive experience in automation and a professional staff. The pilot project was launched on the PIX BI system, since this is a domestic software that is easy to learn from in a short time.
The integrator was given some historical data from company reports generated over a short period of time. The result of the project was the introduction of an analytical application consisting of several information panels - dashboards. The original Excel table, which consisted of several tabs, was transferred to the data model.
The app has a lot of options. The BI system can interact with sources via API, connect to various databases through ODBC and take data directly from SQL, use CSV, Excel and other formats. So, for visualization, the company prepared five dashboards based on Excel: "Finance," "Geo-informational," "Marketing," "Workload by hours and days of the week," "Regulatory workload of ships," - said Pavel Sinitsyn, head of BI/RPA in the First Bit. |
Previously, to provide management with information about the current situation, the analyst was engaged in extracting data from several Excel tables manually, now the information is visualized mainly automatically. The necessary indicators in the dashboard are highlighted in blue if everything is in order, and if deviations from the norm occur, the color changes to yellow. This is the simplest example of the visual display of parameters. You can also organize, for example, the work of a robot in such a way that it sends messages to certain employees if the standards are not met.
The desktop version of PIX BI can also be used on a mobile device, since it adapts to the screen width. The format of the same dashboard can be customized for different employees in such a way that everyone sees only the information that concerns his tasks. You can also organize access to data so that the portal can only be accessed using an official corporate VPN. If one user leaves, you can force the user's account to be disabled, or you can set the xref's validity time so that data access is disabled in a timely manner.
