2024: ERP System Implementation

Unagrande Company, which owns the brands Unagrande, Bongiorno, Pretto, Umalat, Maslo-Maslo, Velika BrNza, Classikos, has completed the introduction of the domestic ERP system.

{{quote 'As a result of the introduction of this automation system, it was possible to reduce the underload of finished products for the year by 1,500 kilograms, - said the financial director of Unagrande Company Sergey Krokhmal. - Before that, we had WMS as a separate software product, the functionality of which was not used by 50%. We saw the data on the finished goods warehouse at the end of the day after the recalculation in the xlsx file and based on this file we planned the production with subsequent subsequent errors of incorrect recalculation. The functionality of WMS was transferred to an analog solution in "1C: ERP," the existing data collection terminals have been modernized. This made it possible to eliminate the significant costs associated with the use and maintenance of an individual WMS from many errors, while expanding the range of opportunities for warehouse operations. As for the underload of finished products, if earlier it was 170 kilograms per month, now it has decreased to about 40. }}

In the process of automation, the company also made a transition from averaging fat and protein indicators for dairy raw materials, semi-finished products to separate accounting. This allowed, already at the stage of receiving raw materials, to automatically receive a calculation of the cost of each received batch of milk and make the pricing system more transparent. With the implementation of this automation system, the enterprise has also simplified many procedures, namely:

  • milk intake. If milk upon receipt does not meet the standards declared by the supplier (fat, protein), then now an act of discrepancy is automatically generated in ERP. The company already decides whether to present it to the supplier or not.
  • registration. A mechanism for coordinating applications, a hierarchy, was added, a convenient workplace for the financier was written. Right here, the director confirms or does not confirm to whom and how much they should pay. From here, the financier forms payment registers and unloads.
  • warehouse operation. When the logician forms an expense order, the warehouse manager needs to create a picking plan: how much he can put pallet in the machine depending on the date of production. Now the system itself from storage bins selects the nomenclature for the conditions, and there is a button "place on pallets." The system generates worksheets in part. Moreover, the worksheet shows the specialist from which series what to take, and in which pallet to put, and all this is printed with a barcode. The warehouse worker brings the barcode to the scanner, reads the item (assembly is carried out on the shipping documentation). Even if the product is released at night, the collector comes into any shift, prints just a worksheet and collects orders.

The warehouse manager sees the online process of assembling orders in real time. When employees break through the barcode, it changes the data in the expense order and in the selection plan: how much is collected and shipped. When the warehouse has confirmed and issued the package, the expense order is automatically closed, the balances are written off. And the accounting department automatically starts the process.

The accountant at his workplace sees that it is possible to draw up an implementation, print a package of documents. Thus, shipment has become a fully automated process.

The Contractor, Razdolye Implementation Center, made it possible to conclude in PDF format forms and reports that are not provided for by the basic ERP functionality. However, the implementation managed to achieve a balance between refinements and basic ERP documents so that the company would not have difficulties updating. So the main document of interaction, which accounts for 80% of the work - "Production of semi-finished products," although it has undergone changes, remained a typical ERP document. And it correctly considers the cost.

At the start of the automation project, we had a short technical task, - said Sergey Krokhmal, CFO of Unagrande Company. As a result, we went much further and made a whole set of changes, which had a positive effect on the entire work of the enterprise, as of March 2024, about 70 automated workplaces operate at the plant. Summing up the results shows that all the work done was useful.

At the production stage, automation made it possible to quickly reflect such operations as separation, normalization, movement and arbitrary mixing across the equipment workshop at one automated workplace, automatically generate standard documents, close the technical balance across the equipment workshop with the generation of correction documents every day. Work was carried out to automate handling related to packaging, plan-actual analysis of program execution, automatic closure of all inventory deviations in the warehouse with the formation of the corresponding package of documents.
