2024: Transition to electronic waybills
"Business Lines" transferred inter-terminal transportation to electronic waybills. The company announced this on March 12, 2024.
The group of companies said that in the future, ETrN can be used when ordering other types of delivery. The transition was launched at the end of 2023. Already at the first stage of the project, the cargo carrier issued more than 15 thousand digital invoices. The process is still being worked out, electronic invoices duplicate paper ones.
The main quality of the electronic document is that it is immediately available to all participants in the supply chain. The client, thus, is confident in the transparency of transportation and the speed of transfer of documents. Freight forwarders will be able not to take paper documents with them and, when checking, present only a QR code on a smartphone to the traffic police. Employees of the archive and documentation support services will not need to print and send paper copies - everything will be saved in electronic form, which will facilitate the search for documents, - noted in the "Business Lines." |
The company clarified that so far the transition to ETrN is not mandatory. However, industry experts are confident that when acquiring a mandatory status, many "gray" players will have to leave the market.
