"Vkusville" introduced robots to move goods in warehouses without human participation

Customers: Izbenka (VkusVill)

Product: Avtomakon AGV robots AK-2000

Project date: 2024/03

In mid-March 2024, it became known that Vkusville began using AGV robots in distribution centers. The project is being implemented jointly with the Avtomakon company, which helped to solve the problems of reformatting logistics processes.

AGV machines, or Automated Guided Vehicle, are automatically controlled vehicles that are used to move goods in the production process or in the warehouse. The robots of the "Automacon" themselves determine where the cargo is and how best to capture it. If the load is lying incorrectly, the warehouse robot adjusts the trajectory. When an obstacle appears in the way, it stops.

Vkusville began using AGV robots in distribution centers

It is reported that Vkusville initiated a robotization project during the COVID-19 pandemic, when the company faced problems scaling and processing orders. Vkusville tested the partial robotization of the Domodedovo distribution center using autonomous F-02 forklifts. It was possible to achieve higher accuracy in inventory management, while maintaining the ability for robots and humans to work together. The declared resource savings are 20-30%. Based on the data obtained, experts developed requirements for new models of robots and decided to introduce AK-2000 machines developed by Avtomakon.

The AK-2000 model is, according to the developer, one of the fastest robots in its category: its speed reaches 2.6 m/s. The loader can operate in open and closed areas. The duration of continuous operation from batteries reaches 6-8 hours. Manual mode is provided.

The introduction of AGV robots will allow Vkusville to automate the processes of moving goods, reduce order processing time and increase the accuracy of operations. As a result, the quality of customer service will improve.[1]
