Dodo Brands has implemented an international EDO system thanks to the services SimpSign and TC Gazinformservice. Gazinformservice announced this on March 18, 2024.

This important step was made possible thanks to technological cooperation with LLC "Convenient Signature," which presented the service of cross-border EDO SimpSign. The service offers for its clients a legally significant EDO with counterparties from Kazakhstan.

We are glad to be one of the first to introduce the international EDO SimpSign in our company, - said the representative of Dodo Brands, Alexey Medvedovsky. - This system solved many problems related to the delivery and signing of documents with our franchisees from Kazakhstan. Now we save a significant amount of time by converting document flow to electronic format. Soon we plan to transfer all franchisees to the international EDO.

In a short period of time, fourteen Dodo Brands franchisees in Kazakhstan have been transferred to the international EDO, which is a significant part of the total number of franchisees of the company in this country.

The work of the international EDO service became possible thanks to the implementation of foreign electronic signature verification mechanisms. In Russia, such a function, in accordance with the law, is assigned to special organizations operating in the field of PKI - a trusted third party or an accredited certification center. In the service of the international EDO SimpSign, this service is provided by Gazinformservice LLC.

In 2023, a significant barrier was removed in the topic of cross-border recognition of a foreign electronic signature: according to the amendments to the law "On Electronic Signature," it became possible to recognize a foreign electronic signature on the basis of agreements between legal entities. Previously, this required an international treaty between the countries, which was much more difficult. As a result, there was a practical possibility of cross-border legally significant EDO in the B2B segment. We are glad that already in the first months, as soon as it became possible, so many participants in foreign economic activity appreciated this and joined the cross-border EDO service, - said Sergey Kiryushkin, head of the certification center of Gazinformservice LLC.

We are committed to continuously developing and improving our product. Work has already begun to scale the service to other countries of the Eurasian Economic Commission, primarily Belarus. Now there is a preparatory period, discussion of scenarios of interaction with participants in the EDO market of Belarus. The Belarusian market is ready for a cross-border exchange of documents with companies from Russia, there is a legal basis for starting interaction, the main thing is to make it convenient for all participants, - said Dmitry Klass, Managing Director of Convenient Signature. - We are also considering opportunities for the development of the product within the country. Negotiations are underway with EDO operators and EDO system developers to integrate our service with them in order to offer the end client "one button" with which he could sign and send electronic documents not only within Russia, but also to a foreign counterparty.
